About the Role You will design, build and integrate the data pipelines, protocol bridges, and automated test infrastructure that connect edge sensor and intelligence data into our geospatial platform, Farsight. Operating across edge, cloud, and mission networks, you will ensure data flows are correct, resilient, and observable, even in degraded environments. Working closely with end users and our engineering and product teams, you will validate real-world workflows through simulation and field testing, ensuring the platform performs predictably and can be trusted in high-stakes operational contexts. Responsibilities System Integration - Configure tactical Mission Command applications (ATAK, TAKX, etc) for usage and testing in virtual and field environments - Troubleshoot tactical applications in virtual and field environments Software Support - Provide hands on technical support across a variety of software products ranging in complexity from desktop applications to containerized deployments to end users and team members - Configure and maintain containerized software deployments in cloud, on-premises and dismount compute environments System Architecture - Rapidly build and refine system architecture diagrams that cover core and integration functionality using diagramming software (i.e., Visio, Miro, etc) - Communicate architecture with a wide variety of non-technical stakeholders - Recommend, design and configure system architectures to enhance operation in tactical environments Network Engineering - Troubleshoot network issues in field software centric environments - Recommend, design and configure network topologies to support software integration architectures Tactical Communications - Configure and operate tactical radios such as Silvus, TrellisWare, DTC and/or MPU5 - Familiarity with tactical message formats such as VMF, JREAP-C and CoT UAS Technical Integration - Working knowledge of Ardupilot, PX4 and Betaflight - Familiarity with MAVLink and any of its extensions Collaboration - Experience working with DoW uniformed service members, government contractors and government civilians - Work daily with Mission Solutions, Mission Operations, Front End/Back End and other team members to land and test integrations Requirements - 3+ years building/fielding systems in defence, or dual-use environments; comfortable operating with limited oversight. - Enthusiastic attitude towards rapidly learning and applying new technical concepts across a wide range of technical disciplines to include systems, software and networking - Hands on integration experience with tactical communications to include Silvus, TrellisWare and/or MPU5 - Hands on experience with ATAK, MMC-S, TAK-X or EWPMT-X - Familiarity with tactical message formats such as VMF, JREAP-C and CoT - Familiarity with L2 and L3 network concepts - Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes - Strong communicator who can brief stakeholders, write crisp runbooks, and drive consensus. - Clearance: Active Secret required. - Willingness to travel (up to ~50%), including field and conflict-adjacent locations Nice to Haves - Demonstrated experience in understanding low TRL systems quickly in an integration focused environment - Recent experience as a field software or support representative and/or engineer as part of DoW modernization exercises (i.e., Scarlet Dragon, Project Convergence, Project Overmatch) - Familiarity with the ITN, C2FIX and/or NGC2 system architectures - An interest in simulation when applied to wargaming - An understanding of how and desire to utilize agentic workflows to accelerate integration work - TS with SCI eligibility - Recent experience working in classified environments Compensation - Salary + Equity - Salary is determined by the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
