Role Description The Curative Specialist’s primary responsibility is to perform a detailed review and analysis of chain of ownership documents and chain of lien to clear up any discrepancies found during the property search. Responsibilities include: - Use proprietary tools to perform research and clearance of discrepancies. - Communicate with the applicable parties involved in the transaction. - Responsible for all actions and communications regarding loans in the pipeline. - Interact daily with Management regarding the pipeline. - Regularly communicate with client(s). - Act as a subject matter expert and research best practices within the industry. Qualifications - High School diploma or equivalent. - Typically has 4+ years of experience in title review, closing, funding, or post-closing of residential mortgage loans. - Industry experience required. - Demonstrated time management skills and ability to perform tasks under deadline. - Overall understanding of Mortgage Loan Life Cycle process and mortgage loan documents. - Extreme attention to detail and strong analytical skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Strong organizational skills. - Sound independent judgment. - Customer service skills. - Proficient in all MS Office applications. Requirements - Monitor communications to ensure timely responses. - Daily coordination and communication with Lenders. - Obtain advice from clients to effectively clear title. - Reconcile loans in pipeline weekly to confirm all have been reviewed and worked accurately. - Telephone customer service support. - Provide general assistance with internal communications with other teams to ensure timely delivery of searches. - Excellent customer service skills to effectively handle client communications via phone and email. - Follow functional area’s processes and procedures in daily activities, troubleshoot as needed, and recommend suggestions for continuous improvements to overall operations. - Actively contribute to the results of a team and work toward achieving goals and objectives.
