While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role. The Digital Health Portfolio strives to enable earlier diagnosis, better treatment, faster complication-free recovery, and enhanced patient outcomes through less invasive surgical solutions. As a Senior National Sales Manager, you will manage the Digital Health Zone Managers. You will develop talent within this team and implement field sales strategies and tactics to achieve defined sales goals as outlined in the region sales budget and quota. You will be responsible for sales, talent management, margin, product mix, marketing feedback, and customer satisfaction relative to field sales activities. A Day in The Life - Recruit, hire, train, develop, and manage all sales assigned to the region. This role will be managing a team of 5 Digital Health Zone Sales Managers. - Actively coach direct reports to meet annual objectives through the development of competent business skills, product knowledge, and market development - Lead regional opportunity development and opportunity management strategies and activities that translate into accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual projections. - The Sr. National Sales Manager will maintain sole ownership of providing an accurate forecast to the VP, US Sales each reporting period. - Responsible for meeting forecasting, revenue, margin, and profitability objectives, as well as delivering expected profit results by balancing revenue generation and expense management for region - Work collaboratively with aligned Services Director to develop clinical business strategy related to pre-sale and post-sale activities, competitive targets, mobilization strategies, and regional clinical support. - Develop and implement business plans that effectively utilizes the local account team resources available in the region - Collaborate across key internal stakeholder groups (finance, sales operations, marketing, OEM, etc.) as well as peers to identify and address trends and to support business goals and strategy - Identify, qualify, prepare, and execute effective sales strategies that maintain the existing base of business and support the close of competitive and revenue growth opportunities - Develop and implement aggressive talent development initiatives that optimize team productivity, drive bench development, and support organizational talent cross-pollination Must Have: Minimum Requirements - Bachelor’s degree required - Minimum of 7 years of relevant sales experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience Nice to Have - Master’s Degree (MBA, MA, MS) is highly desirable - Previous sales management experience strongly preferred - 10+ years of overall work experience - Selling Digital Health solutions (EMR, SaaS) or Wearables - Medical capital equipment and disposable products field experience - Experience compiling contracts with supporting financial business case - Recruiting and hiring experience - Strong problem-solving skills - Executive sales and negotiating skills - Leadership and Mentoring Abilities: Preferably in a complex business environment - Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as purchase agreements, financial reports, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. - Experience writing reports, presentations, and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, internal and external stakeholders, and various other support teams - Knowledge and understanding of the hospital and health care environment both global and specific - Well-developed organizational and time management skills - High computer proficiency required, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
