Senior Supervisor, Supply Chain Management

• Manage the procurement team and establish effective measures of performance and metrics. • Ensure members of the team have the correct knowledge and skills to perform assigned purchasing tasks and provide on the job training and support to address skill and knowledge gaps. • Support team members to work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify, define, and refine the scope of supply, purchasing requirements, and statement of work for procurement activities. • Manage compliance with procurement process and ensure all required approvals are in place prior to purchase order release. • Engage with relevant specialists to address identified conflicts and/or risks with terms and supplier conditions that vary from standard company purchase order terms. • Support vendor engagement activities including negotiations and supplier performance management where appropriate.
Job Requirements
- Typically a University Degree or equivalent experience and a Minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An advance degree in a related field and a minimum 3 years experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in software procurement, including negotiating software licensing terms and conditions, with a strong understanding of End User License Agreements (EULA).
- Requires significant knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within the procurement work area.
- Requires broad knowledge and skills in procurement and contracting with an understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams (Finance, Program Management, Engineering, etc).
- Demonstrated experience in procurement activities and the management of internal customer and supplier relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of a geographically dispersed team and the ability to influence parties at an operational level to achieve objectives within a compliance framework.
