Implementation Consultant Level 3, Configuration

• Gathering and interpreting client requirements and processes, and translating these into system solutions • Managing system configuration activities and quality • Delivering calculation automation • Leading client implementation projects • Facilitating internal and external system training, and providing appropriate documentation • Troubleshooting and resolving client queries and issues • Mentoring and coaching Implementation Analysts • Conducting system configuration and testing quality control activities • Supporting technical development of technology platforms through participation in analysis and design, and specification production for new and/or enhanced developments • Undertaking system configuration and checking • Undertaking data analysis activities and checking • Undertaking project management activities including risk and issue identification and mitigation

Job Requirements

  • UK Pension background: detailed understanding and ability to explain the difference between DB, DC, CARE and Annuities
  • Able to explain pension member records and their set up
  • Knowledge of relationships between members, Trustees, schemes, actuaries, funds and investments
  • Understanding different types of Pension Schemes
  • Explain different types of member status and applicable calculations for each
  • Describe the regulatory bodies and their roles in this sector
  • Demonstrate knowledge of system set up and use of parameters
  • Strong MS Excel skills with ability to draft an automated excel calculator; ability to use filters, sorting, pivot tables, lookups, control totals, IF statements
  • Good MS Access skills
  • Able to understand requirements and produce specifications.
