To best serve our clients, we are structured so that there are 2 team members (Bookkeeper and Accounting Coordinator) plus a Team Lead assigned to each client. The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the financials and fostering the relationship with the client. They also support and work closely with the Bookkeeper, who is responsible for the day to day bookkeeping. We are grouped in teams with a Team Lead in place on each team to support and lead. What you'll be doing: - Oversee the client relationship by being their main point of contact - Oversee the services the client receives making sure we are meeting their expectations - Support Bookkeepers that are working on your clients behind the scenes, by answering questions and being the liaison between them and the client as needed. - Payroll - Pay bills that have been posted by the Bookkeeper - Yearend tasks, such as financial review, 1099 processing, closing the books, annual reports, communication with tax preparer - Review of P&L Statements and Balance Sheets - Production of Monthly Financial Statements - Syncing data across multiple software applications to ensure accuracy - Historical clean-up projects (as needed) - Client projects - Management of requests in a timely manner - Communicating with clients and/or teammates in a timely manner The skills and qualifications you'll need to succeed: - Passionate about financials - 4+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience - Extreme organization and strong decision-making skills - Fast learner and open to new ideas - Clear, concise, and kind communication skills through all mediums: video conference, email, phone, and text - Understanding of business models - Comfortable working in a broad range of softwares - Ability to work from home, 30+ hours/week Two Roads team members are: - Responsive to clients and teammates Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm EST via email and phone - Self-starters: They find the answer. • Manage the full cycle of accounting including AP, AR, and general ledger maintenance. • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, allocations, reconciliations, and variance analyses. • Maintain accurate balance sheet account reconciliations. • Oversee fixed asset accounting and reporting. • Manage federal, state, and private grant reporting requirements. • Ensure proper allocation of costs and compliance with grant budgets and allowable cost principles. • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual internal financial statements.

• Leverage your expertise to analyze accounting, auditing, and independence rules and standards • Assist Ankura Senior Managing Directors and clients with communications with the PCAOB, SEC, or other regulators on auditing, accounting, and independence matters • Provide an independent perspective based upon your expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and PCAOB Standards to assist audit firms with the identification of enhancements to their audit methodology and system of quality control • Assist external and internal counsel to perform investigations of corporations surrounding breaches in a corporation’s internal policies, procedures, and ethical behavior • Work with colleagues, clients, fraud examiners, internal and external auditors, lawyers, and regulatory authorities on challenging, sensitive and adversarial situations • Lead and conduct forensic investigations, technical accounting research, fraud risk assessments, compliance reviews, forensic accounting audits, background interviews and searches, asset searches, fund tracing, electronic data reviews • Review and finalize engagement work plans, working papers, project documentation, progress and final reports to the highest level of quality • Lead and manage work of engagement team comprised of internal and external experts in close, intermittent, and distant collaboration modes • Plan, manage and control budgets on investigations engagements • Monitor and manage risks throughout the engagement cycle • Adhere to the strictest standards of client and engagement confidentiality and integrity • Maintain active communication with counsel, clients, and internal team to manage expectations and ensure satisfaction • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews • Design, craft and deliver client proposals, presentations, and marketing materials • Participate in business development activities such as public speaking events, conferences, seminars, marketing events and client meetings.
