Job Description
Principal Program Manager, Marketing Strategy & Planning
Autodesk
Role Description Flow Studio is one of the most important, cross-functional bets in the company. It spans product, marketing, creative, and platform capabilities, and its success depends on how well those pieces operate as a single system. We are looking for an exceptional program leader to own that system end-to-end. This role exists to ensure that the right things happen, in the right order, with the right tradeoffs, across the entire Flow Studio ecosystem. This is not a coordination role. This is not about tracking tasks. You will operate as the connective tissue across teams and as a force multiplier for leadership, bringing clarity, velocity, and accountability to a highly ambiguous, high-stakes initiative. Flow Studio is the immediate focus. Longer term, this role is expected to scale into broader, company-level programs that require the same level of orchestration and leadership. Autodesk builds the tools behind the world around us. From the buildings we live in to the products we use, our customers design and make what’s next, and we power that work. We’re evolving into a Design and Make platform, connecting the full lifecycle from idea to reality. It’s a shift from standalone tools to a more connected, intelligent system, and it’s changing how things get made. Within Autodesk, Flow Studio is building a new category at the intersection of AI, creativity, and storytelling. Responsibilities - Flow Studio delivers against its most critical milestones with speed, clarity, and high-quality execution. - Leaders have high confidence in the program because decisions are well-framed, tradeoffs are explicit, and progress is transparent. - Teams operate as a cohesive system, with minimal friction and clear ownership across boundaries. - The hardest problems surface early and are resolved quickly, rather than escalating late. - The program consistently moves faster than expected without creating chaos. - Flow Studio becomes a model for how Autodesk runs complex, cross-functional initiatives. - You are trusted as a thought partner to senior leadership, not just a program lead. - Exceptional ability to simplify complexity, bringing structure, clarity, and focus to ambiguous situations. - Comfort operating in fast-moving, zero-to-one or highly iterative environments. Qualifications - 10+ years Program Management experience. - Deep experience leading large, complex, cross-functional programs in product-led or technology-driven environments. - Experience operating in the top tier of program leaders, owning initiatives that span multiple functions and leadership layers. - Demonstrated ability to influence and drive decisions at the senior leadership level, including navigating competing priorities and strong opinions. - Strong strategic instincts paired with deep execution rigor, able to move seamlessly from high-level framing to detailed delivery. - Systems thinker with a clear point of view on how to design and run effective cross-functional programs. - Experience working deeply across product, marketing, and engineering, understanding how to connect roadmap, storytelling, and delivery. - Clear, direct communicator who can align diverse stakeholders and drive momentum. Requirements - Own the end-to-end success of the Flow Studio program, from early-stage definition through launch and scale. - Act as the single integrator across product, marketing, creative, engineering, and go-to-market, ensuring decisions and execution are tightly connected. - Shape, not just execute, program strategy by helping leaders clarify priorities, sequencing, and tradeoffs. - Drive clarity on what matters most, cutting through noise and aligning teams on a focused set of outcomes. - Establish and run the operating model for the program, including planning, prioritization, decision forums, and execution tracking. - Proactively identify risks, misalignment, and hidden dependencies, and resolve them before they impact delivery. - Ensure tight coupling between product readiness and go-to-market execution, including feature delivery, storytelling, and launch sequencing. - Partner closely with GET and technology teams to translate business requirements into deliverable systems and ensure reliable execution. - Create real-time visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes, enabling fast, informed decision-making at the leadership level. - Build scalable, repeatable program frameworks that can be reused across future, high-priority Autodesk initiatives. Benefits - From health and financial benefits to time away and everyday wellness, we give Autodeskers the best, so they can do their best work. - Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $124,000 and $221,430. - Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. - In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
