This is a key operational role responsible for administering, configuring, and maintaining New Relic monitoring across application and infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in supporting monitoring platforms rather than designing enterprise-wide observability strategy. This role focuses on execution, configuration, and day-to-day optimization of New Relic rather than architectural ownership. Key Responsibilities: • Administer and support New Relic APM, Infrastructure, Browser, and Synthetics • Configure dashboards, alerts, SLOs, and notifications aligned with performance requirements • Onboard new applications and services into New Relic monitoring • Maintain and tune alert thresholds to reduce noise and improve signal quality • Partner with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support performance monitoring needs • Troubleshoot performance issues using New Relic data and assist in root cause analysis • Manage New Relic agents, integrations, and basic API usage • Ensure monitoring standards and documentation are maintained • Support ongoing performance and availability initiatives Required Qualifications: • 3–5 years of experience administering New Relic in a production environment • Strong hands-on experience with: • New Relic APM • Infrastructure Monitoring • Dashboards and alert policies • Experience monitoring Java, .NET, or Node.js applications • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and basic cloud concepts (AWS/Azure/GCP) • Understanding of application performance metrics (latency, throughput, error rates) • Ability to work independently in a remote environment Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills: • Experience with Kubernetes or container monitoring • Basic scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) • Exposure to CI/CD or DevOps toolchains • Prior experience in a performance or SRE support team • ITIL or monitoring best-practice familiarity System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
