About this role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Ledger Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close. In this role, you’ll support core accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and help scale processes. You’ll work cross-functionally and play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data. This role will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager. What you’ll do - Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger - Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities - Reconcile balance sheet accounts (cash, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, etc.) - Support financial reporting and variance analysis - Assist with audit preparation (external audits, SOX/internal controls if applicable) - Partner with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Revenue, Tax, etc.) to ensure accurate accounting treatment - Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies - Ad hoc accounting projects and requests, as needed - Identify and implement opportunities to use AI and automation to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and enhance data insights Qualifications - Staff Accountant with 1-2 years of experience in general ledger accounting - Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system (Oracle, SAP) - Good understanding of GAAP - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team What Success Looks Like - Accurate and timely close cycles - Clean reconciliations with clear supporting documentation - Improved efficiency in accounting processes - Strong collaboration with cross-functional partners - Uses tools like AI to simplify work and help the team move faster Salary Range San Francisco: the pay range for this role is $88,000 to $121,000 per year. This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.
