Defence Marketing Specialist
GKN Aerospace
• Develop the end‑to‑end GTM strategy in support of Business Development for the new defence product. • Conduct thorough market, competitor, and customer analysis. • Define clear value propositions and USPs grounded in customer needs. • Create engaging, accurate, and compliant marketing literature. • Develop compelling digital content. • Produce sales enablement materials. • Design and deliver demonstration aids. • Support BD with live demonstrations, exhibitions, trade shows, and customer events. • Ensure all materials reflect security, export control, and brand guidelines. • Work closely with engineering and product management to translate technical features into clear operational benefits. • Partner with Business Development to align messaging with customer engagement strategies. • Coordinate with external agencies, design teams, and stakeholders. • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements. • Provide regular updates to leadership on GTM progress, campaign performance, and market intelligence. • Recommend adjustments to strategy based on insight, feedback, and ongoing evaluation.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in B2G or defence/dual use product marketing.
- Strong capability in developing GTM strategies for technical or mission critical defence products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience creating high quality marketing collateral.
- Confidence leading cross functional teams.
- Proficiency with standard marketing tools.
- UK Security Check (SC) essential.
- Understanding of defence procurement cycles, MOD/European defence agency requirements, and secure communications (desirable).
- Experience supporting live demonstrations or trade show activity (desirable).
- Knowledge of export control and classified material handling frameworks (desirable).
- Background in engineering, defence technology, or adjacent domains (desirable).
- UK Developed Vetting (DV) advantageous (desirable).
