• Lead the design and operation of WCG’s cloud platform as a product • Drive the shift to a modern platform engineering model focused on automation, self-service capabilities, and developer experience • Define, build, and operate the internal platform as a product, with clear users (developers, IT teams) and measurable outcomes • Develop and execute a platform roadmap, service catalog, and self-service capabilities including reusable components and standardized patterns • Continuously improve developer experience (DevEx) by reducing friction and increasing autonomy • Architect and manage cloud environments in Azure and AWS, including high availability, disaster recovery, and resilience strategies • Lead adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) • Partner closely with Security teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and platform services
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Seven (7) + years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering
- Three (3) + years in leadership roles
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure; working knowledge of AWS
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and secure pipelines
- Experience designing and managing integrations and APIs
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in engineering workflows
- Experience with observability, monitoring, reliability engineering, and incident management practices
- Strong understanding of identity and access management, including lifecycle and access control models
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments
