Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our BPaaS (Business Process as a Service) technology team. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing cloud-native solutions across our BPaaS environment. This role requires deep expertise in cloud platforms, DevOps practices, middleware integration (Informatica, MuleSoft, or Edifecs), and strong network/security design to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that align with client and program requirements. Key Responsibilities - Architecture & Design - Define and maintain the overall architecture blueprint for the BPaaS environment, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. - Design and implement integration patterns using middleware gateways (Edifecs, Informatica, MuleSoft) to support enterprise connectivity. - Translate business and technical requirements into detailed architecture and solution designs. - Cloud & DevOps Enablement - Lead adoption and optimization of cloud-native services (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for application hosting, integration, and data services. - Partner with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment strategies. - Implement high-availability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning solutions. - Integration & Middleware - Oversee configuration and performance optimization of integration gateways (e.g., Edifecs XEngine/IG, MuleSoft API Gateway, Informatica). - Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth partner-to-partner and system-to-system integrations. - Define governance standards for APIs, data exchange, and message transformation. - Network & Security - Provide guidance on enterprise network architecture, including routing, VPN, and firewall design. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and other regulatory standards by embedding security best practices into solution design. - Partner with InfoSec to implement identity/access management, encryption, and monitoring frameworks. - Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with business, technical, and vendor stakeholders to align solution designs with program objectives. - Present architectural options and recommendations to leadership and client teams. - Provide mentorship and technical guidance to development, infrastructure, and operations teams. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR 10-15 years of progressive IT architecture/solution design experience in lieu of a degree. - 8+ years of IT architecture and solution design experience, including 3+ years in cloud and BPaaS environments. - Hands-on experience with middleware/integration tools (Informatica, MuleSoft, Edifecs). - Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD, IaC (Terraform, Ansible, etc.). - Proven experience in network architecture, VPNs, load balancers, firewalls, and enterprise connectivity. - Security architecture experience (IAM, encryption, audit logging) highly desirable. Skills & Competencies - Deep understanding of cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP). - Expertise in middleware/API management platforms. - Strong knowledge of networking protocols and enterprise integration patterns. - Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST). - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment.
