Role Description We are currently seeking a Cloud Architect (remote) to join our team in Remote, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada. Provides executive leadership for the organization’s Managed Services portfolio, owning vision, strategy, delivery, and overall performance. Responsible for service operations, customer experience, and technical delivery across cloud, modern workplace, security, and infrastructure services. Ensures scalable, profitable, and high‑quality service delivery aligned to SLAs, Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) standards, and measurable business outcomes. Accountable for establishing and maintaining delivery excellence across the entire Managed Services portfolio. Key Responsibilities - Partner directly with clients to define managed services strategy, roadmap, and service catalog across cloud platforms, EUC/Intune, identity, security, and infrastructure. - Own the managed services operating model, including organizational structure, roles, and service delivery framework. - Lead and inspire service managers, technical leads, engineers, and support teams to drive operational excellence and consistent achievement of SLAs and SLOs. - Define, implement, and own KPIs and performance metrics across managed services contracts, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement. - Establish clear accountability for technical leaders and managers; define, maintain, and evolve role definitions and responsibilities. - Partner with technical leadership to design and maintain standardized processes, runbooks, automation patterns, and governance frameworks that enable consistent, repeatable service delivery at scale. - Oversee client onboarding, quarterly business reviews, service escalations, customer retention, and long‑term account health. - Mentor and develop service leaders, team leads, and technical staff, building strong leadership pipelines and technical depth across the organization. - Actively contribute as a senior member of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), influencing standards, best practices, and strategic direction. - Own and manage strategic vendor relationships, with primary accountability for Microsoft partnerships. - Contribute to projects, serving as Lead Architect or Technical Lead where required. Qualifications - 8–12+ years in Modern Workplace / Endpoint / EUC engineering/Azure, including 3–5+ years in technical leadership for production services. - Deep knowledge of Entra ID and Conditional Access, Zero Trust device access patterns, and integration with endpoint security tooling. - Strong ITSM background (Incident/Problem/Change), CAB governance, change risk assessment, and RCA/postmortem leadership. - Demonstrated SRE mindset: monitoring/alerting, reliability improvements, and automation-driven operational excellence. - Azure platform operational experience (governance, RBAC, policy, monitoring, reliability). - Certifications preferred: ITIL 4; MD-102; SC-300; AZ-104/AZ-305; AZ-500/SC-100 (as applicable). Role Description Responsible for deploying and scaling high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure for scientific applications within a pharmaceutical R&D setting. - Focus on packaging complex scientific workloads—such as R, Python, MATLAB. - Set up Azure CycleCloud clusters. - Support secure, scalable, and compliant processing of clinical R&D data. - Facilitate the shift from on-premises HPC to cloud-native solutions, optimizing performance and meeting industry standards. - Deploy HPC cloud using Azure CycleCloud. - Design and configure Azure HPC CycleCloud clusters with SLURM scheduler. - Develop hardened GSK Linux VM golden images for HPC-Cloud, ensuring compliance with GSK standards. - Build login/head nodes and set up dynamic scaling of compute nodes based on job needs. - Evaluate HPC-Cloud deployment and migration proof of concept. - Package scientific applications with R, Python, and MATLAB. - Apply best practices for cloud-native HPC operations. - Optimize on-demand provisioning for CycleCloud clusters. - Migrate scientific applications from on-prem HPC to HPC-Cloud.
