Role Description The Junior Staff Accountant maintains the General Ledger accounts and business transactions, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that include analytical work and thorough review of financial records. This is a remote role. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: - Complete monthly journal entries in General Ledger including but not limited to standard, non-standard, prepaid; those with income statement impact and balance sheet items; or others as assigned. - Complete monthly Balance Sheet Fixed Assets accounts reconciliations for multiple accounts. - Process Write-offs and Refunds for AR. - Set up new vendors for PeopleSoft AP. - Work on projects as assigned by the Director of Accounting or Accounting Manager. - Special projects and ad-hoc reports. - Assist with budgets, fixed assets, taxes, audit preparation and system testing. - Safeguard operations by keeping sensitive information confidential. - Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications - Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures. - Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize applicable Microsoft applications to meet work needs. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. - Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and/or knowledge in accounting and keep current with developments and trends. - 10-key by touch. • Manage and perform month-end close for Pine Management companies • Prepare consolidated financial statements and assist in variance analysis • Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances • Ensure GAAP compliance across all reporting • Collaborate with accounting teams at operating companies to ensure accurate accounting treatments are followed • Support acquisition integration from a finance/accounting perspective • Assist with annual audits and manage PBC (Prepared By Client) requests • Maintain internal controls and support compliance with company policies • Coordinate tax filings with external providers • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy • Help build scalable systems and reporting tools for a growing organization

• Prepare monthly financial statements for all assigned facilities within a structured timeframe • Facilitate monthly close procedures • Prepare monthly reconciliations and schedules • Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis as well as report on variances • Take ownership of all details of the general ledger of assigned facilities as well as understand the flow of transactions • Collaborate with outside consultants and accountants to assist in their preparation of two year-end cost reports as well as year-end financial statements • Respond to questions from other departments in a timely manner to prevent delays in closings • Prepare and provide specific reports and information requested by client as the need arises throughout the month • Furnish required information to banks after monthly financials have been finalized

Role Description Under limited supervision, the Accountant produces timely and accurate financial statements and subsidiary ledgers. Provides financial information to the operating units to aid them in the effective management of the company’s financial resources. Responds to requests for financial information and answers questions as they arise. - Collaborates with the Financial Reporting Manager to develop procedures, accounting processes, and financial reporting systems as needed. - Reviews financial statements ensuring accountability for the accuracy and integrity of financial results and information and provides in-depth variance analysis to Management. - Prepares reconciliations of any or all accounts to determine accuracy of general ledger balances. - Reports reconciliation findings and makes oral and written presentations to management when reconciliations identify a material weakness, discussing deficiencies and recommending corrective action to improve operations and reduce cost. - Develops, communicates, and follows through on recommendations. - Prepares detailed journal entries and maintains relevant supporting documentation, including mortgage and loan schedules. - Prepares month-end financial statements and performs the “full cycle” accounting close. - Collects information and prepares complex audit schedules. - Coordinates the timely preparation of tax and other regulatory filings. Ensures timely filing of 1099’s for vendors and annual 990’s for all relevant Cornerstone affiliated entities. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - 3 to 6 years applicable experience; or the equivalent combination of training and experience. - Desired experience should include reconciliation of all types of balance sheet accounts as well as experience analyzing revenue and expense accounts. - Prior experience performing full cycle accounting duties is highly desirable.
