Role Description Empower AI is AI for government. Empower AI gives federal agency leaders the tools to elevate the potential of their workforce with a direct path for meaningful transformation. - Designs and develops statistical methods to evaluate and analyze numerical data using computer software, including MS Access, MS Excel, SAS, Oracle, SQL and/or other applications, for assigned projects. - Develops algorithms, models and/or projects. - Designs and develops innovative analytical approaches and predictive modeling techniques for reactive or proactive data analysis, statistical modeling, data mining, sampling, and study design. - Develops trend reports to identify potential program or systematic vulnerabilities. - Produces and submits required reports according to established time guidelines and maintains records according to quality management system requirements. - Communicates effectively with management, investigators, other Statisticians, as well as internal and external clients, including federal law enforcement offices, to provide reactive and proactive case development support and to fulfill law enforcement data requests. - Develops data analysis techniques to detect aberrancies in claims data and proactively seeks out and develops leads and cases received from a variety of internal and external sources. - Prepares, develops, and participates in variance training that pertains to different types of data analysis. - Validates data analysis results and analytically identifies violations of laws, guidelines, policies, and regulations. - Serves as a mentor to less experienced Data Analysts. - Provides guidance and leadership for the Data Analysis Unit, including assignment and monitoring of data analysis issues/workloads. - Develops, implements and ensures compliance with written procedures for the Data Analysis Unit. - Complies with various guidelines and directions regarding data analysis and data management. - Meets quality and production standards. - Coordinates data analysis activities for all internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement and other analysts. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, BioStatistics, or a closely related field and/or quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems. - Statistical analysis experience, which may be gained during academic studies. - Experience using MS Excel, SAS, SQL and/or other applications to perform various types of data analysis, which may be gained during academic studies. - Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills, and proficiency in performing multiple tasks in a changing environment. - Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple projects. Position Summary The Data Coordinator I plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely processing of client and third-party data to support our services.
