• Own the roadmap for Vegetation Intelligence, spanning from the ML models that produce our risk data to the products that turn it into customer action. • Push our detection models further, and help fold their outputs into Overstory’s broader outage and ignition risk models. • Contribute towards increasing the number of actionable insights: run user research, ground priorities in the operational decisions customers actually make, and make sure what we ship drives real action in the field. • Shift the roadmap from scaling- and technical-led to customer-driven, without losing the technical rigor that got us here. • Work closely with data scientists and ML engineers to turn model capability into shipped product value, and define what “good” looks like for a model in production. • Explore how feedback from customers and end users, like arborists, can improve model performance over time. • Communicate clearly and often with the broader product and engineering team, so trade-offs, model limits, and priorities stay visible. • Contribute to Overstory’s broader product strategy so Vegetation Insights supports where the rest of the product is headed

• Own Overstory's core positioning and messaging, from category narrative to product-level value propositions. • Shape the language that defines how utility leaders understand wildfire risk, vegetation-related risks, and the cost of inaction. • Lead pricing, packaging, and GTM strategy for new and existing products, including custom deals with complex, multi-stakeholder buying dynamics. • Build the sales enablement materials (battlecards, pitch narratives, ROI models) that support a sales team navigating long cycles across vegetation managers, engineers, and C-suite. Train reps on how to use them and stay close enough to deals to know when they're not working. • Partner with product and sales leadership on go-to-market decisions; owning product launches end to end, structuring pilots, and determining how to enter new segments. • Run win/loss analysis and competitive intelligence programs to inform how we sell and how we position. • Mentor early career team members including product marketing, content marketing and field marketing.

• On a typical day, you might be: running satellite imagery through a pipeline and validating the output; debugging a geospatial join in Python; reviewing a draft analysis with a Customer Success Manager before it goes to a customer; talking with a utility vegetation manager to walk through findings and adjust based on what you hear; refactoring a notebook into a reusable script for the team; or sketching out how a recurring customer ask could become a product feature. • Ensure our customers get the most possible value out of Overstory through technical and analytical work • Own customer projects end-to-end, from data requests and processing through analysis to customer-ready outputs, in close partnership with Customer Success. • Work with large geospatial datasets (vector and raster) from Overstory's platform, customers, and third-party sources — process, validate, analyze, and turn them into outputs customers can act on. • Build rapport with customer counterparts. Translate technical findings into recommendations that change decisions and lead to better outcomes for our customers. • Build the technical foundations for what we productize next • Identify patterns across customer work that are worth standardizing and productizing. Convert one-off projects into repeatable artifacts. • Strengthen engineering quality so analytical work is easier to validate, hand off, and scale. • Partner with product and engineering to build the productization roadmap. • Strengthen the analytics workflows and infrastructure that support both customer impact and future productization.

The climate crisis is the defining challenge of our time—but it’s also the greatest opportunity for innovation, and a challenge we’re proud to take on. At Overstory, we’re harnessing cutting-edge technology to enable a resilient electrical grid that keeps communities thriving as our world changes. The grid is the backbone of life as we know it. It powers hospitals, keeps food fresh, and ensures communities stay connected. But extreme weather, aging infrastructure, and growing wildfire risks are putting this critical system under pressure. All of this combined makes the electric utility industry the greatest opportunity for tackling climate change. One of the leading causes of catastrophic wildfires and power outages? Trees and brush coming into contact with power lines. That’s where we help. At Overstory, we use AI and advanced satellite imagery to pinpoint and prioritize vegetation risks before they materialize. By giving utilities critical analysis on those risks, we’re helping prevent outages, reduce wildfire risks, and accelerate the transition to a safer, more resilient grid. Our team spans the Americas and Europe, and we work with utility partners across the Americas and beyond. We’re outdoor enthusiasts, musicians, artists, athletes, parents, and adventurers—15 nationalities strong and growing. What unites us is a passion for solving complex problems, a commitment to climate action, and the belief that technology should be a force for good. Join us to help us build a more resilient world together. We’re looking for a USA based mid-career arborist to work closely with our Lead Arborist on analyzing imagery to identify tree species and health. What you’ll do - Identify declining trees on satellite images - Identify tree species on satellite images - Quality control the work of our team (ex. correct tree species, hazard trees, tree height, vegetation encroachment, and overhang, etc.) Your experience - Experience as a forester or arborist, ideally ISA Certified Arborist. - You’re well versed with GIS tools like QGIS and ArcGIS. - Experience interpreting tree characteristics from satellite images. - You have a strong attention to detail. - Exceptional verbal, written and visual communication skills in a fast-paced environment. - You’re a team player that seeks out feedback. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Contract - 10-20 hours per week contract - Indefinite contractor agreement - Seasonal work with busy times and slower times hours will fluctuate accordingly About our team We are a group of 100 people from all over the world.
