• Reporting to the EVP, the Corporate Controller provides timely oversight of the Company's financial and accounting systems. • Responsible for the oversight of several functions including treasury, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, risk management, insurance, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial business systems. • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the accounting records, adhering to regulatory requirements. • Produce timely financial reports and recommend appropriate fiscal policies and internal controls. • Work cooperatively with the leadership team and other employees managing the fiscal affairs of the company. • Oversee the monthly financial closing process and direct the external audit process. • Prepare a variety of financial reports and analyses for internal and external constituents. • Monitor and assist in managing the Company's cash position and treasury management activities. • Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff using effective management techniques.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
- CPA and/or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in financial accounting at a complex and diverse organization required (substantial experience in higher education is strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, problem-solving, organization, and presentation skills.
- Experience in a management position supervising staff required.
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Working knowledge of financial budgeting & modeling using Excel, CampusVue/Nexus, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Dynamics.

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will be instrumental in building scalable accounting infrastructure, controls to support our fast-paced global growth and processes which reconcile financial information to business reality. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will support and develop accounting processes with robust controls to ensure compliance and scalability in a dynamic organization. This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in everything from preparing journal entries to documenting business process understanding and managing month-end reporting. You will also collaborate closely with the Booking Holdings Finance teams to ensure alignment within the group while tailoring processes to meet FareHarbor's specific needs. What you'll do here: - Drive simplification and automation of financial accounting and reporting processes - Obtain end-to-end understanding of business processes, ensuring that appropriate accounting treatment is reflected in the financial statements - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting - Establish and maintain scalable internal controls - Oversee and perform day to day activities of multiple financial entities and processes - Build strong working relationships with Booking Finance teams including Compliance, Technical Accounting and Internal Audit - Assist with reconciliations, including intercompany reconciliations, ensuring transactions comply with local GAAP - Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting - Own & solve complex tasks as part of large projects while also leading several small projects to completion Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent qualification is highly desirable - Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance functions - Proficiency with SAP, Blackline, or similar accounting systems - Strong proficiency in Excel - Public Accounting experience highly preferred - Proven track record of translating business process understanding into actionable insights and correct accounting treatments. - Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with commercial and operational teams - Excellent attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset to streamline accounting processes - Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards and effective time management - Collaborative working style, with the ability to partner with a broad range of business functions - Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed This role is available to candidates located in the Netherlands and requires ability to work in a hybrid setup with 3 days in-office presence.
