• Develop and implement machine learning models to estimate student dropout probability, enabling early interventions. • Build fraud prevention workflows and anomaly detection for financial transactions of School Funds (Caixas Escolares), consuming data directly via bank/internal APIs. • Work from data extraction and preprocessing in the Data Lake through to deploying models to production. • Translate complex insights into dashboards and reports for public-sector managers without technical backgrounds. • Document developed solutions and support monitoring, error handling, and ongoing maintenance.

Job Requirements

  • Completed higher education (technologist, bachelor's, and/or postgraduate degrees) in Information Technology.
  • Proven track record in Data Science projects, preferably focused on fraud detection, anomaly detection, or financial risk analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python (Pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost/LightGBM) and advanced SQL.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Machine Learning (Notebooks, Synapse, MLflow).
  • Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to understand business pain points (education/public administration) and propose the best technical solution.
