McCormick can drive unprecedented brand growth by learning how to better measure all aspects of marketing/media design and execution and bringing these different analytics together to provide a holistic view on the drivers of short- and long-term growth and build predictive models to enable better decision making. The role is designed to give McCormick the data and analytical engine to make this happen. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and implementation of next-gen media measurement and optimization capabilities, integrating marketing mix, long term brand equity measurement, in-flight measurement (e.g., lift studies, A/B testing), pre-market factors that affect media (e.g., creative testing) - Develop media-driven volume forecasting tools to integrate into McCormick’s demand forecasting platform - Drive and leverage external connections to find new and improved tools and approaches to bring into McCormick - Partner with vendors used for outsourced models, serving as lead consultant on technical methodology alignment integration with new capabilities - Develop training content that enables business partners to use marketing optimization capabilities more effectively Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Data Analytics/Science, or closely related field - 8+ years’ experience in data science, with media analytics expertise - Demonstrated sound understanding of concepts, principles and practices in Marketing and Sales - Understanding of the business and technical aspects of Marketing Mix Modeling, Media Effectiveness Testing tools (Lift, A/B, etc.), Creative Testing, and proficiency for the evolution of and other tools in the Media Effectiveness Space - Demonstrated skills and results in analyzing complex datasets, generating insights and building robust statistical models - Demonstrated ability to connect the dots between complex data/analytics and business understanding - Proficiency with building dashboards for business users using data visualization software (Power BI preferred) - Expertise in SQL and Python coding - Demonstrated experience with building data models, machine learning & AI - Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data sources, e.g. syndicated data, SAP - Proven project leadership experience with demonstrated success in balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; foresees and addresses issues before they become significant obstacles - Strong technical curiosity, a passion for problem solving and the ability to uncover richness of analytic insight that translates to business opportunity - Demonstrated agile learning skills; ability to learn new technology, skills & tools quickly and easily - Ability to synthesize analytic learnings and translate into compelling stories for a business audience - Effective at building collaborative, cross functional and cross-geography partnerships - Excellent written communication and presentation skills - Ability to travel internationally, as needed (0-5%) - Strong personal leadership, including attention to detail, quality of work and bias toward action - CPG or Food/Bev experience (preferred) As a general policy, McCormick does not offer employment visa sponsorships upon hire or in the future. Base Salary: $103,520 - 181,150. Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan.
