• Execute and own the complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process for assigned clients, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and ready for management review. • Perform and review detailed operational accounting tasks, including all journal entries and accruals, accurate bank and credit card reconciliations, and management of bank feed rules and meticulous maintenance of vendor and customer master lists. • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of internal reports, including A/P and A/R aging reports, and compile all necessary documentation for: Payroll tax filings, W-2/W-3, and 1099 filings. Sales and use tax, personal property tax, and business license renewals. • Review existing financial workflows and execute improvements to strengthen internal controls over cash management and expense reporting, enhancing operational efficiency and scalability. • Prepare and compile detailed financial schedules, reconciliations, and documentation to support and expedite the annual financial statement review or audit by external accounting partners. • Ensure accounts are optimized and transactions are consistently classified according to GAAP, maintaining the integrity of the financial system. • Provide expert input on cash flow monitoring and assist with preliminary financial report analysis as needed by client leadership. • Maintain detailed daily tracking of hours by client and project, ensuring accurate reporting and accountability for assigned engagements.

• Support and scale Rula’s Accounting function through accounting excellence and process optimization • Oversee all Corporate Accounting areas (excluding Revenue and Payroll) • Manage a team and own the company’s Technical Accounting function • Ensure day-to-day accounting operations in accordance with US GAAP • Drive the preparation of technical accounting memos • Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting policies and processes • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing process enhancements

• Rebuild product accounting from the ground up — Evaluate every process supporting loans, credit cards, and cash advances. Identify what's broken or unscalable and rebuild it using industry best practices, so that when something goes wrong, troubleshooting takes minutes, not days. • Own end-to-end close — Lead monthly and quarterly close across product accounting, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Drive balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, revenue, accruals, and cash activity across all core product lines. • Partner with Engineering, Data Infrastructure, and BI — Ensure proper accounting treatment is designed into new products from day one — not patched in after the fact. This requires genuine subject matter expertise, not just coordination. • Strategize across functions — Work directly with FP&A, Capital Markets, and senior leadership to identify cross-functional workstreams and proactively flag gaps, risks, and opportunities before they become blockers. • Build for audit readiness — Establish the documentation, audit trails, and process controls that reflect where the company is headed. You’ll be the person who ensures the books are ready before the auditors arrive. • Own accounting for complex fintech products — Lead accounting treatment for loan originations, servicing, interest income, charge-offs, and credit card and cash advance operations. • Support audit and regulatory requirements — Prepare workpapers, documentation, and reconciliations that meet the rigor of annual audits and regulatory exams.
