Blending Accounting Analyst
Global Partners LP
• Assist with preparation of the accounting for all gross margin items for the Blending Business Unit in accordance with US GAAP • Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closing process by preparing journal entries and key account reconciliations • Analyze transactional and operational data to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for automation. • Gain and maintain knowledge of accounting systems, policies and procedures • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed by the request of the Assistant Controller or Commodity Controller • Collaborate with groups outside Terminal Accounting to support business goals providing ad-hoc and/or analytic requests
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers
- Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software applications and tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the flexibility to handle ad hoc projects as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong SQL skills including the ability to write complex queries and integrate data from multiple sources; experience with Python or R is a plus
- Experience with business intelligence and analytic tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Looker, or Power BI
- Proven ability to work with complex datasets and deliver actionable insights through a proactive and adaptable approach.

Role Description The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading critical revenue and membership accounting functions across complex healthcare arrangements, including Medicaid, Medicare Advantage (DSNP/CSNP), and ACO contracts. This role oversees key components of the monthly close, ensures compliance with revenue recognition standards, manages high-risk balance sheet accounts, and partners cross-functionally to support accurate financial reporting and forecasting. In addition to technical accounting ownership, this role provides leadership, guidance, and oversight to accountants supporting revenue and close activities, while driving process improvement and consistency across reporting cycles. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
