Job Description

Manager, Retention & Engagement

Deckers Brands

• Support omni-channel retention and engagement strategies to drive growth for HOKA across North America • Lead email and SMS marketing strategy, execution, and deliverability for US and Canada across multiple database platforms • Manage day-to-day performance of email, SMS, and digital wallet programs, including automated and transactional campaigns • Collaborate with marketing, ecommerce, creative teams, and external vendors to translate business objectives into CRM plans • Act as primary contact for internal brand marketing teams and external vendor partners • Plan and activate email, SMS, and digital wallet campaigns for key brand initiatives and product launches • Execute geo-targeted campaigns to support wholesale and field events • Develop and optimize retention tactics for HOKA membership, driving awareness, acquisition, and engagement • Share feedback, best practices, and campaign insights with global and US marketing partners and cross-functional teams • Analyze channel effectiveness using internal and third-party data sources to identify optimization opportunities • Own weekly, monthly, and ad hoc channel reporting and analytics to inform tactics and strategy • Support retention initiatives for HOKA owned retail • Provide guidance and mentorship to Marketing Associates and/or Coordinators

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years’ experience in relationship, digital, or email marketing required
  • 3+ years management experience preferred, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
  • Familiarity with email service providers, SMS gateway providers, creative briefing, editorial calendar planning, and digital technologies (Cordial, Attentive, Badge experience a plus)
  • Strong understanding of direct-to-runner strategies and digital marketing
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and ecommerce best practices preferred
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Tableau preferred
  • Skilled in developing segmentation, automation, and lead generation strategies and executing at the tactical level
  • Demonstrates creativity and innovation, with a willingness to dive into data and support the team
