SMB Account Executive
MiroWe’re a visual workspace for innovation, built for distributed teams of any size.
Role Description The Corporate Sales Team is pivotal to Miro’s go-to-market strategy, focusing on driving growth by acquiring new customers as well as by growing the existing customer base. As a Commercial Account Executive on this team, you will join a dynamic, high-performing group that thrives on innovation and collaboration while championing Miro’s mission to empower teams to create the next big thing. This role exists to address a 300K+ community of product leaders generating strong inbound demand into the SMB segment, and a renewal rate that doesn't yet reflect the value the product delivers. As the only AE dedicated to SMB, you'll run the full sales cycle, own the renewal book, and build the systems and playbooks from scratch that make it all scale. You'll have support but not a safety net, resources but not a roadmap. What you will have is a high-velocity inbound engine, a real retention problem worth solving, uncapped upside if you fix it, and the mandate to experiment with AI in ways the business hasn't been able to before. The learnings you generate here will directly inform the enterprise motion, making your work a leverage point well beyond SMB alone. What you’ll do - Serve as the sole Commercial AE, owning the entire segment end-to-end — from inbound qualification through discovery, demo, negotiation, and close — with no shared accountability and no handoffs. - Manage and improve a renewal book of business, building proactive at-scale interventions that identify at-risk accounts early and drive meaningful retention improvement without requiring a high-touch motion for every account. - Design and implement AI-native workflows and automation that allow a single person to operate at a volume and impact level that manual processes simply can't reach. - Build the SMB playbook from nothing — defining the processes, cadences, and systems that will serve as the foundation for the segment and export learnings upmarket to the enterprise team over time. - Become a genuine product expert capable of having high-value conversations with product managers, VPs of Product, and CPOs about roadmaps, feedback loops, and team development. - Track and analyze your own performance data to identify what's working, iterate quickly on what isn't, and surface insights that improve outcomes across the broader commercial team. Qualifications - 2-4 years of B2B SaaS sales or account management experience with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota in high-volume, transactional environments. - Proven experience closing deals in the $10K-$30K ACV range at meaningful monthly volume. - Demonstrated AI fluency, with a track record of actively experimenting with and building AI-driven workflows that meaningfully improve your output. - High agency and comfort operating as a team of one. - Renewal or account management experience, understanding the full customer lifecycle and knowing how to drive retention at scale with limited direct contact. - Comfort with ambiguity, failure, and iteration. - Strong async communication skills. Requirements - Ability to create direction rather than waiting for it. - Experience treating a broken motion as an opportunity, testing quickly, and improving without needing permission to try something new. Benefits - Global benefits package generally includes equity. - Wellbeing benefit. - WFH equipment allowance. - Annual Learning & Development stipend.
