Role Description We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated Regional Sales Manager. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who are driven to succeed, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The primary objectives of the RSM are to work to understand the needs of the market, be recognised as a Trusted Advisor by our customers, and by working closely with the wider business as ONE TEAM deliver sustainable and profitable growth and a great customer experience throughout and beyond the buying journey. Responsibilities - Systematically utilise pre-call planning and questioning strategies to understand the needs of the customer and as the ‘Trusted Advisor’ make recommendations to move opportunities through the phases and leverage post-call reviews to improve outcomes. - Work closely with cross functional teams in the organisation to ensure we achieve profitable and sustainable growth, all while providing exceptional customer experiences. - Coordinate with other Sales Executives to deliver an integrated and aligned sales approach across territories and product lines. - Highly proficient in using CRM to maintain accurate forecasts, plan activity and understand the numbers to create clear action plans to deliver results. - Demonstrate clear understanding of transactions and trends (won/lost reasons, close rates, pipeline health, etc.) to develop / propose action plans. - ‘Know your numbers better than anyone else’. - Be able to clearly articulate and present the key elements of any opportunity to secure support and buy-in from the business and have a tight grasp of the financial / margin details. - ‘Fact Based discussions’. - Participate in and represent the organisation at trade shows, conferences, and seminars; and assist with other marketing efforts as needed. - Maintain and enhance professional and technical knowledge through review of professional publications, establishment of professional networks, and participation in professional organizations. - Travel extensively regionally to support scheduled customer meetings, tradeshows, training workshops, and networking opportunities. 50% + travel required. - Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills. - Demonstrate a professional demeanour with a strong work ethic, representing Barry-Wehmiller with high integrity. - Can collaborate, inspire, motivate as ‘The Professional in the room’ Internally/Externally. - Ability to communicate and present complex information in a concise, compelling, and positive manner. Qualifications - Demonstrated track record of sales success in B2B capital equipment (achievements, rankings, stats). - Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with the ability to understand, position, and communicate machine applications and process solutions effectively to customers. - Proficient in use of CRM systems, leveraging data/insights to identify opportunities, manage pipelines and aid in decision-making. - A professional demeanour that encompasses Barry Wehmiller’s core values and guiding principles. - Experience in packaging machinery, capital equipment, or industrial solutions sales (Form‑Fill‑Seal, filling, labeling, or related technologies strongly preferred). - Engineering background or technical education is a strong advantage. - Highly detail‑oriented, technically adept, and computer‑proficient (MS Office, presentations, proposals, LinkedIn, AI and reporting). - Ability to manage long sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and solution‑based selling in regulated industries (food/dairy/meat). - Proven ability to operate effectively in multicultural and multinational business environments, collaborating across regions and cultures. Languages - English - Arabic - French Competencies - Effective presentation and negotiation skills. - Excellent listening and communication abilities. - Strong self‑management skills, with a disciplined, proactive approach. - Strong drive for results. - Action‑oriented and execution‑focused mindset. - Customer‑centric approach. - Strong priority‑setting and time‑management skills.
