Job Description

People Operations Associate

Inspiren

Role Description The People Ops Associate is the operational backbone of Inspiren's People function — the person who makes everything run. This role is deeply tactical by design: you'll own the day-to-day systems and processes that power our employee experience, from HRIS administration and onboarding workflows to benefits and compliance. What makes this role genuinely exciting is the expectation to not just execute the work, but to constantly look for ways to make it better. Whether that's spotting a manual workflow that could be automated, identifying a process gap before it becomes a problem, or building scalable infrastructure that will outlast your first year — this role rewards initiative and operational creativity. What You’ll Do - HRIS Administration: Own data integrity, system configuration, and reporting across our HRIS. Lead the upcoming HRIS implementation (May/June) and ensure clean, accurate records going forward. - Onboarding & Offboarding: Run new hire onboarding end-to-end — documentation, systems access, and equipment — ensuring every hire is fully set up within 5 business days. Own the offboarding process with the same rigor. - Benefits & Leave: Administer health benefits, 401(k), and leave programs. Manage enrollment processes, answer employee questions, and maintain accurate tracking. - Compliance & Records: Maintain the compliance calendar, manage personnel files and employment records, and keep us ahead of federal and state regulatory requirements. - Payroll Support: Run bi-weekly contractor hour processing and support payroll workflows as needed. - Process Improvement: Identify manual or repetitive workflows that could be automated or streamlined — and take initiative to improve them. We expect this, not just appreciate it. - Lattice & Performance: Support performance cycle administration, including 30/60/90 audits, Grow track management, and Lattice data hygiene. - Notion & Internal Resources: Keep the People Ops Notion workspace current, accurate, and useful. Build and maintain FAQs and process documentation as the team scales. Qualifications - 2–4 years of HR/People Ops experience in a startup or high-growth environment - Hands-on HRIS experience — system administration, data integrity, and reporting (e.g., Rippling, BambooHR, Workday) - Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools and a track record of adopting new technology to work more efficiently Requirements - Experience administering health benefits, 401(k), or managing open enrollment (nice to have) - Familiarity with federal and state employment law compliance and record keeping (nice to have) - Experience identifying and implementing process improvements or workflow automation (nice to have) This role is not a fit if: - You have no prior HR/People Ops experience (general business admin does not qualify) - You've only worked at large enterprises or companies with 500+ employees - You don't actively use or have curiosity about AI tools Details - The annual salary for this role is $90,000-$110,000 + equity + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision) - Flexible PTO - Location: Remote, US - NYC preferred
