Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Center
Arcadis
• Assist in client contact, connections, and finding opportunities, increasing the mission critical work that Arcadis performs • Provide expert consultant mechanical engineering advice to our clients in the data center space • Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, both in how those specifically apply to data centers and how they may change for the mission critical industry going forward • Guide as to the pros and cons of system types and rack cooling strategies • Coordinate with other internal/external engineering disciplines, vendors, and contractors • Act as point of contact for mechanical discipline in high-level and key decision discussions with data center clients • Participate in all phases of a project from pursuit and proposals through design, and construction • Create thought leadership opportunities to expand Arcadis's touch and brand in the data center market • Assist in the preparation of proposals, specifically the potential engineering approach and strategy for winning • Travel as required to attend pursuit discussions, project meetings, and collaboration with clients’ team members • Work in a collaborative team environment that includes colleagues from locations throughout the world • Provide mentoring to staff
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 20 or more years of relevant experience in data center Mechanical Engineering
- PE Registration
- 15 years experience in Data Center / Mission Critical system design including data centers and other facilities with need for resiliency/redundancy
