Role Description We are recruiting for an experienced Pursuit Leader to join our well-established and experienced Defense and Security Sector. This role will focus specifically on our defense and security team’s bid management processes, as such prior experience with government/public sector tenders and knowledge of bid delivery models is a must-have requirement. You will be responsible for the end-to-end bid process – client engagement, planning and managing activities across a range of disciplines and identifying and delivering win strategies. In addition to managing strategic pursuits, you will work proactively with the Arcadis Growth team to identify areas for development and support and actively engage in initiatives within the sector to improve the win rate. Role accountabilities: - Engage with client and subcontractor representatives, including both government and contractor clients, to co-create opportunities and understand specific needs to drive successful win strategies. - Plan, coordinate and manage pursuit activities within the sector to completion including, develop winning proposals, short list interviews and pursuit close out activities. - Identify pursuit team and identify necessary resources ensuring we have the best team. - Facilitate the development and completion of proposals through the gathering of technical, commercial, financial information from a wide range of sources, and business areas, in a structured manner. - Author, review and edit technical elements of proposals, developing content that is tailored to the client's requirements and aligned to identified win strategy (e.g., key messages and win themes). - Develop messaging and materials for interviews and presentations. - Develop and effectively manage commercial strategies for the pursuit. - Recognize commercial strategies (margin, profitability) and ability to coordinate with finance and legal. - Facilitate workshops and submission reviews. - Identify continuous improvement of pursuit processes, systems and tools to contribute to improved efficiencies. - Conduct post selection debriefs with client and pursuit team to drive lessons learned/ best practice sharing. Qualifications - Professional degree in Architecture, Engineering. - Minimum 10 years proven track-record managing pursuits within the government sector. - Ability to influence others at all levels of business and building and maintaining professional relationships. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Understanding of commercial strategies (margin, profitability). - Ability to coordinate with finance and legal teams. - Ability to work under pressure and meet rigid deadlines. - A natural communicator with excellent written and oral presentation skills. - Excellent time management skills and able to prioritize a busy schedule and workload. • Perform as an engineer on sediment remediation and waterfront projects nationwide through site investigation, feasibility study, design, and construction phases of projects • Manage, lead, and prepare field sampling plans, remedial investigation reports, feasibility studies, pre-design investigations, and remedial designs • Evaluate contamination, develop conceptual site models, evaluate remediation technologies, prepare calculations and cost estimates, reports, and design drawings • Lead preparation of client-ready documents and designs, provide senior-level review for technical content and quality • Effectively manage and lead multidisciplinary teams, including project scopes, schedules, budgets, and communications with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies • Provide mentoring and training to junior engineers and scientists • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on sediment investigation or remediation projects • Support business development opportunities, including client/regulatory meetings and proposal development

• Perform engineering design for roadway drainage and design-build projects including collector streets, arterials, expressways, interstates, and bridge replacements. • Conduct bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, closed drainage system design, pond design, and erosion/sedimentation control. • Prepare construction plans, project displays, cost estimates, reports, and technical memos. • Lead marketing efforts for drainage projects including proposal development, letters of response, presentations, and interviews. • Provide quality control reviews for drainage calculations and plans. • Utilize design software such as MicroStation, Inroads, ORD-SUDA, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, GIS, ICPR, HEC-RAS, HY8, FlowMaster, Pond Pack, StormCAD, SMS, SRH2D, and HEC-RAS 2D. • Coordinate with project managers and other disciplines (roadway, structures, utilities). • Mentor and direct junior engineers. • Work independently with minimal technical supervision.

Role Description Casual Drainage Engineer or Senior Drainage Engineer role has opened to support our Victorian Civil Infrastructure team. For this role you can work remotely from any of our Australian offices. You will be part of an experienced team dedicated to excellence in design of drainage and flood management.
