• Automation Development: Create, maintain and evolve automated test scripts (E2E and Integration) for our web applications. • API Testing: Ensure service integrity by testing contracts, status codes and payloads directly at the service layer (not relying solely on the UI). • Root Cause Analysis: When a test fails or a bug appears, investigate the technical origin of the issue (logs, console, database) to provide precise guidance to the development team. • Continuous Integration (CI/CD): Monitor test execution in the pipeline and act quickly if a build breaks. • Technical Mentorship: Support manual and junior Quality Analysts, spreading best practices in testing logic and automation. • Test Strategy: Analyze complex features and decide: "What is worth automating?" and "What should be tested manually?".
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in software testing.
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
- Strong experience in Web Automation: Proficiency with mainstream frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium or WebdriverIO).
- Programming Languages: Knowledge of programming logic and at least one scripting language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or Python).
- API Testing: Experience with request-testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, REST Assured or Supertest).
- Version Control: Daily use of Git (pull requests, branching, merging).
- Databases: Ability to run SQL queries for data setup and validation.
- Troubleshooter Mindset: You don't just report issues — you investigate the root cause and like to understand errors in depth.
- Systemic Thinking: Understands that code changes can impact different areas of the system and plans tests accordingly.
- Autonomy: Can take a high-level requirement and break it down into technical tasks, organizing your own time and priorities.
- Technical Communication: Able to discuss solutions with the development team on equal terms, speaking the technical language when required.

Role Description Surrey Place is seeking a detail-oriented student to join our team as a Quality Assurance Officer. In this entry-level role, you will work side-by-side with our team of developers to ensure our digital products are accessible, user-friendly, and function flawlessly. This is a learning-intensive role where your classroom knowledge of accessibility standards, user experience (UX) principles, and testing methodologies will be applied in a real-world setting. Prior industry experience is not required but an asset. Main Responsibilities - Perform accessibility testing against WCAG 2.1 guidelines, conduct screen reader walkthroughs, keyboard-only navigation audits, and document remediation steps with severity and recommended fixes for engineering. - Conduct A/B and multivariate experiment analyses in partnership with Dev teams to validate design hypotheses, set up experiment instrumentation, and measure impact on conversion, retention, and key UX metrics. - Participate in user feedback sessions, internal product discussions, and design critiques. - Support responsive design efforts to ensure optimal user experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. - Assist in conducting UX research to understand user needs and behaviors. Role Description This role conducts Quality Control (QC) activities on complex IRB and staff documentation to ensure accuracy compared to primary sources and adherence to all applicable Advarra quality control standards, federal regulations, and timelines. Requires a high degree of independent judgment, attention to detail, and accountability. Works with the Manager and leadership team to identify strategies and methods to achieve organizational goals. Expertise reflected in consideration of continuously improving workflow.
