• Monitoring and maintaining networks and associated server components. • Upgrade existing hardware as required. • Installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives. • Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats. • Assess existing network services, operating systems and security programs. • Provide proactive monitoring and analysis of network systems and components. • Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize network availability. • Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving configurations. • Continuous documentation of network IP address schemes, network elements and creating network maps. • Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology. • Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices as it relates to Network Infrastructure.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Applicable professional qualification: CCNA, CCNP, Etc.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong Project Management Skills.
- Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
- Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration or system administration.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- Preference will be given for Azure Cloud Network experience.
- CCNA Certification required
- CCNP Certification preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure environments.
- Experience with Cisco ACI required
- Experience with Cisco Voice Solutions required including extensive knowledge of Cisco Jabber and Cisco Finesse Call Center functionality.
- Comprehensive understanding of network services and network routing and switching.
- Extensive experience with implementing and supporting: TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, Etc.
- Strong understanding of VPN fundamentals and best practices.
- Experience with virtual environments including VMWare and Hyper-V.
- Experience with SD-WAN preferred.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently and reliably.
- Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot problems with various systems and programs.
- ITIL fundamental knowledge and experience a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or production environments preferred but not required.
