Role Description The Senior Network Engineer role is responsible for the architecture, engineering, implementation, and operational excellence of the company’s enterprise network spanning corporate offices, data centers, cloud environments, and remote users. This role leads complex network initiatives, drives standardization and automation, partners closely with Information Security and Enterprise Applications, and delivers senior-level escalation support. This role requires proven expertise in enterprise routing/switching, next-generation firewalls, SD-WAN, wireless, and network observability, and is comfortable balancing strategic roadmaps with hands-on delivery. What you will do: - Network Architecture & Engineering: - Own the technical build and evolution of enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN and cloud connectivity solutions. - Lead the development of network standards, reference architectures, and configuration baselines. - Design resilient, scalable networks supporting business-critical applications and global site growth. - Operations & Reliability: - Provide support for critical issues involving complex network-related incidents and chronic problems. - Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to improve availability and performance. - Maintain comprehensive documentation, including diagrams, runbooks, and knowledge base articles. - Security & Compliance: - Implement, maintain and support secure network segmentation, Zero Trust-aligned access controls, secure remote access and policy enforcement. - Partner with InfoSec on audits, risk remediation, and incident response. - Ensure networks meet regulatory and corporate governance requirements. - Cloud & Hybrid Connectivity: - Architect and maintain connectivity to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) including VPN/ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, transit architectures, and firewall integration. - Support hybrid identity-aware networking and modern SaaS traffic optimization. - Automation & Tooling: - Improve engineering velocity and configuration consistency using automation (e.g., Infrastructure as Code, scripting, APIs). - Establish repeatable deployment patterns and reduce manual operational toil. - Enhance network observability using modern telemetry and analytics. - Project Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership: - Lead or co-lead multi-site upgrades, office openings/relocations, and major lifecycle refreshes. - Work with multi-functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring clear communication and alignment across collaborators. - Mentor engineers and contribute to team capability development. Qualifications - 8+ years of dynamic experience in enterprise network engineering. - Demonstrated expertise in: - Routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP or equivalent). - Enterprise wireless design and troubleshooting. - Next-generation firewalls and network security fundamentals. - Network resiliency and high availability patterns. - Strong troubleshooting capability across layers 2–7. - Experience with one or more of: SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust networking. - Cloud networking experience in Azure and/or AWS. Requirements - Proven expertise in enterprise routing/switching, next-generation firewalls, SD-WAN, wireless, and network observability. - Comfortable balancing strategic roadmaps with hands-on delivery. Role Description - Design and deploy network & security systems (FWs, web filtering systems etc.) and networking infrastructure (LAN, WAN, routing protocols, failover mechanism, IPSEC, SSL VPNs). - Perform technical operations on various IP network elements of multiple networks. - Maintain the availability and performance of business-critical networks. - Define and enforce rules for various network security control systems such as: firewalls, virtual private networks. - Provide escalated support and troubleshooting to maintain high availability and performance of the security & network infrastructure. - Create and maintain detailed network & security documentation. - Keep a tight relationship with integrators & vendors to maintain upgrades, installs, downtime planning alongside exploration of new features & innovative solutions. - Evaluate, test and select enterprise networking & security hardware and solutions. Qualifications - 3-5 years of experience with networking & TCP/IP protocols (routing & switching, IP/MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IPv6) - a must. - Thorough knowledge and experience with IP network elements, including routers, switches, and firewalls from multiple vendors (Juniper, Fortinet & Cisco) - a must. - Experience in network design and implementation - a must. - Excellent IP network troubleshooting skills with the ability to work with customers and internal departments to resolve complex technical problems - a must. - A team player with a strong ability to learn independently and handle multiple tasks - must. - Fluent English - a must. - Linux / Unix: network configuration, network debugging, experience in installing different Linux editions. - Must be well versed in common network security threats, as well as best practices to mitigate them. - Experience with AWS and any public cloud vendor + virtual environment (VMWARE/KVM) - an advantage. - Knowledge of core cellular network structure – an advantage. - Script developments (Python, etc.) – an advantage. - JNCIP, CCNP, Security certifications – an advantage. • Lead Greenfield network deployments. • Execute Brownfield migrations with minimal downtime. • Perform firewall cutovers and routing transitions. • Design and implement secure WAN architectures. • Participate in customer change windows aligned to U.S. hours. • Strong hands-on implementation and troubleshooting experience with BGP, OSPF, and firewall setups. • Debug routing issues from packet capture level. • Perform troubleshooting and TAC-Level Debugging from packet captures.
