About the role We are currently hiring a Contract Administrator to support our operations in the Toronto region. The Contract Administrator will perform the following duties in order to plan, coordinate, and complete assignments for the inspection, collection, analysis, and reporting of residential Blue Box materials. Key tasks and processes include, but may not be limited to: - First point of contact with Receiving Facility(ies) and Eligible Community Contractors(s) - Create, modify, complete, and file compliance checklists that verify all contractual obligations are being satisfied - Complete data analysis and reconciliation of contractor data and submit invoices accordingly - Request, receive, review, and file all compliance documents by contract deadlines - Identify, communicate, and, resolve contract deficiencies/violations in a timely manner - Follow up and document deficiencies/violations and resolution(s) - Escalate issues that cannot reasonably be addressed to RLG management - Maintain all documents related to the contract(s) in a centralized filing system - Provide support and training to Receiving Facility (RF) and Eligible Community (EC) Contractor(s) to ensure contract compliance and data reporting requirements are satisfied - Complete data analysis, and reconciliation, identify errors, and ensure corrections are made by the EC Collection Contractor(s) in a timely manner - Input data into centralized systems as required - Identify, assess, and report risks, issues, concerns, and opportunities for improvement for consideration by RLG Management - Ensure all compliance documents are requested, received, reviewed, and filed by contract deadlines - Respond to and coordinate emergency and contingency issues, where necessary - Oversee the collection, preparation, storage, and shipment of material samples to a centralized RLG auditing facility - Oversee the delivery of blue box materials from all EC sources to the approved RF. - Undertake regular site visits and physical inspections of RFs - Ensure contract compliance at the approved RF with regard to wait times, weigh scale protocols, tipping procedures, etc. - Comfortable driving/travelling in inclement weather throughout Ontario Comfortable working around large equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, transport trucks, etc. - Willing to work outside in all weather conditions at a waste management facility - Willing to work outside of normal business hours, as overtime, as required - Other duties as assigned - What we need from you - Minimum 2 years of operational contract administration and compliance experience - Project Management experience would be considered an asset - Proven experience working in an operational environment with tight deadlines - Experience with data analytics, logistics, waste management service delivery, contract management, project management, and communications - Experience performing program audits, identifying deficiencies, and recommending corrections - Knowledge of various municipal, provincial, and federal legislation (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Protection, by-laws, etc.) - Experience working in the waste management industry is considered an asset. - What we offer - Comprehensive Health Benefits: We’ve got you covered with Health, Dental, and Vision insurance. - RRSP Matching Program: Plan for the future with confidence—our employer-matching RRSP contributions help you build long-term security. - Wellness Account: Your well-being matters.
