Micro Market Field Specialist

Role Description Plans coordinates and supervises the Micro Market setup and identification of new locations for CONUS and OCOUNS. Responsible for the oversight to ensure corporate policies and procedures are adhered to and maximum utilization of services provided by the Micro Market both Exchange operated or contracted. - Work with District teams to identify new micro market opportunities, access feasibility of the location, ensure all proper paperwork is completed and processed within the designated timeline. - Travel to locations to access sites and collect information on each potential micro market. - Maintain records of micro markets in all six project stages from ideation to merchandising. - Manage internet install process from identification of internet vendors, understanding of the type of internet needed, and how the internet will be installed to ensure all regulations are being followed. - Ensure requisitions for internet are processed and collaborate with Code K on contractual guidelines. - Collaborate with Code B to ensure timelines are accurate. - Work in collaboration with all Micro Market HQ team members to ensure the corporate vision of the program is executed at field level. - Inspect micro markets to ensure they are maintained in accordance with sanitation regulations and properly filled and serviced. - Provide recommendations for improvements on service levels, cleanliness, and merchandising to field micro market managers and associates. - Work in conjunction with the HQ Micro Market team to coordinate and execute micro market setups. - Responsible for the opening of new micro markets including merchandising of all product, setup of equipment and fixtures, setup of visual signage, inventory, and setup of the payment kiosk. - Ensure all micro market managers and associates are adhering to corporate standards and policies, and are trained on all aspects of the micro market. - All training and execution of micro market setups will require being able to demonstrate in real time, processes and procedures. - Able to troubleshoot equipment repairs to assist field micro market managers and associates with resolutions. - Maintain current knowledge of the vending industry including operational procedures, industry trends, equipment, products, and legislation. - Able to present the micro market concept in front of senior leaders such as DVP’s, GM’s, and Base CO’s. - Understand MOU/MOA regulations including the Randolph Sheppard Act, and NEXCOM’s regulations and requirements. - Collaborate and effectively communicate with Code’s B, K, N, and OC to ensure quick resolution of questions. - Responsible for the preparation of appropriate micro market reports monthly, to ensure financial data is available for senior leadership. - Responsible for communicating, training, and execution of new and existing initiatives. - Responsible for the financial review of micro markets, identify areas of risk, and provide solutions to improve overall micro market profitability. - Assist with reviewing product assortment, and providing recommendations based on financial and customer demographic information. - Responsible for creating a schedule and implementation of regular resets for existing micro markets. - Will be required to travel to micro markets within CONUS and OCONUS. - Performs other related duties as assigned. - Works under the direction and supervision of Headquarters. Ensures adherence and implementation of policies, procedures, and objectives as outlined by headquarters. - Operates independently, within established policies, procedures, and regulations. Refers unusual or complex problems to manager with recommendations for solutions. - Work is reviewed in terms of objectives met and efficiency in meeting operating goals. Qualifications - Must be able to pass appropriate background checks needed for the specific area of responsibility (e.g. Federal, DOD, Security Clearance, etc.). - Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds repetitively. - Must be able to stand, stoop, and reach on a consistent basis repetitively. - Must be able to travel a minimum of 75%. - Remote work position. Requirements - Requires a total of 7 years of any combination indicated below: - GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Three years' experience gained in administrative, merchandising, technical, operational or other responsible work, which enabled the applicant to gain knowledge of merchandising, procurement, and operational practices in the store/field, vending or procurement facility. - OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of a four-year bachelor's degree for three years of general experience. - SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Four years of responsible experience which provided a background in services; merchandising; procurement; operations; vending; maintenance of equipment; inventory levels; customer service; maintaining effective sanitation, security, and safety measures, and exempt or nonexempt supervisory experience.
