Role Description Our synergetic Ethos IT Team is growing and seeking a full-time IT Systems Administration Lead (REMOTE) to provide technical leadership across IT infrastructure, systems, and engineering operations. This role is responsible for overseeing Tier 3 systems administration, driving infrastructure strategy, and ensuring alignment across engineering, service desk, and security functions to support business operations. Key Responsibilities - Technical Leadership: Lead Tier 3 systems administration and engineering efforts, providing guidance and direction to the team. - Infrastructure Strategy: Own and execute strategy for AWS, Microsoft 365, and core systems infrastructure. - Escalation Management: Oversee prioritization and resolution of complex technical issues. - Standardization & Best Practices: Establish and enforce system configurations, documentation, and engineering standards. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Service Desk and Security teams to improve processes, service delivery, and compliance. - Security & Compliance: Support implementation of controls, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements. - Technical Advisory: Serve as a key advisor to IT leadership and drive execution of technical initiatives. Qualifications - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience may be a substitute for formal education. - Minimum of 5+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in systems administration and infrastructure engineering (required). - Strong AWS administration experience, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch (required). - Proven leadership experience in a senior, lead, or architect-level infrastructure role. - Relevant Microsoft or AWS certifications (strongly preferred). Working Conditions - This role is 100% remote and requires working hours between 8:00AM to 5:00PM EST or CST. - There might be occasional exposure to overtime or working more than 8 hours in a day due to project demands.
