Performance Marketing Manager
Because
• Own paid acquisition across Meta, Google, and emerging channels. • Report directly to the CEO. • This is a hands-on IC role with one defining twist: we’ve built an internal AI automation stack and your job is to use it to operate at 10x the output of a traditional performance marketer. • Campaign structure, budget allocation, audience strategy, creative testing cadence, bidding (Meta primary). • Protect brand, expand non-brand efficiently (Google secondary). • Evaluate and test TikTok, Applovin, CTV, podcast, and others as warranted (emerging channels). • Incrementality testing, MMM inputs, attribution sanity checks (measurement). • Partner with creative team to hit 100–150 new ads/month (creative ops). • Extend our internal stack; build agents, workflows, and reporting automations (AI leverage). • Weekly performance reviews with CEO (reporting).
Job Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on paid acquisition experience, primarily Meta, at a DTC or subscription e-commerce business
- Strong quantitative foundation – comfortable with SQL, spreadsheets, basic stats, and LTV/CAC math
- Track record of scaling spend profitably ($1M+/month budgets)
- Demonstrated ability to run structured tests and act on results
- Experience with subscription economics (cohort retention, churn, LTV)
- Active, fluent user of Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor for daily work – can show concrete examples of how AI has changed how you operate
- Technical background (CS, engineering, applied math, or equivalent self-taught) (strongly preferred)
- Experience building custom reporting or automation: Python, APIs, MCP servers, Zapier/Make, no-code tools (strongly preferred)
- Google Ads fluency (search, PMax) (strongly preferred)
- Has built or contributed to internal tooling, dashboards, or agents (strongly preferred)
- Exposure to Amazon Ads or retail media (nice to have)
- Experience with creative testing at high volume (nice to have)
- Background at a high-growth consumer brand (nice to have)

Role Description As an entry‑level Paid Search Analyst, you will support our Paid Search Managers in developing, executing and optimizing paid search campaigns. Responsibilities include: - Budget monitoring & pacing: track daily and weekly budget pacing across multiple campaigns, proactively coordinating with search planners and buyers to ensure spending aligns with client objectives. - Campaign management: build and launch paid search, Demand Gen, Performance Max, App Download, and YouTube campaigns; monitor flight dates, start/stop campaigns on schedule, and maintain up‑to‑date budgets in the agency’s billing system. - Optimization implementation: execute daily, weekly and monthly optimizations (keyword expansions, bid adjustments, audience refinements, creative testing) to maximize performance. - Invoice reconciliation: reconcile media invoices and coordinate with account teams and media strategy leads to ensure accurate billing. - Reporting & analysis: pull and analyze performance data from Google Ads, Google Analytics and other platforms; prepare interim and final reports highlighting optimizations, insights and operational metrics for clients. - Keyword and ad copy support: assist with keyword research, ad copy writing and quality assurance to improve campaign relevance and efficiency. - Client presentations: prepare performance summaries and insights for client meetings; support the Search Department in new client presentations when needed. Qualifications - 1 + years’ experience in digital marketing (internships or co‑ops count) with familiarity using Google Ads and Google Analytics. - Google Ads certification is a plus. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills – comfortable working with data, identifying trends and recommending optimizations. - Exceptional organization and attention to detail – able to manage multiple budgets, campaigns and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. - Excellent communication skills – capable of distilling technical insights into clear recommendations for teammates and clients. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote and Word – skilled with pivot tables, formulas and data visualization.
