Job Title: Senior Informatica MDM Specialist Role Overview The Senior Informatica MDM Specialist is a critical data leadership role responsible for the design, implementation, optimisation, and governance of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions across The AA’s data ecosystem. This role ensures high-quality, trusted, and unified master data to support business domains such as customer, vehicle, policy, and partner data. Operating within a hybrid architecture (on-premise and cloud), the role requires deep expertise in Informatica MDM (Multidomain / Customer 360), integration frameworks, and enterprise data strategy aligned with AA’s digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities MDM Strategy & Architecture - Define and evolve AA’s MDM strategy aligned with enterprise data governance and business objectives. - Architect scalable MDM solutions across on-prem (Informatica Hub) and cloud (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services – IICS / IDMC). - Design hybrid integration patterns supporting legacy systems and cloud-native platforms. Solution Design & Delivery - Lead end-to-end implementation of Informatica MDM solutions (Multidomain, Customer 360). - Design data models, match/merge rules, survivorship logic, and hierarchies. - Develop and optimise batch and real-time data integration pipelines. - Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and scalability of MDM platforms. Data Governance & Quality - Collaborate with Data Governance teams to enforce data standards, stewardship workflows, and policies. - Implement data quality frameworks using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ). - Establish monitoring and remediation processes for data accuracy and consistency. Integration & Ecosystem Alignment - Integrate MDM with AA’s core systems (CRM, policy systems, roadside services platforms, telematics, etc.). - Enable API-led connectivity using modern integration patterns. - Support event-driven and microservices-based architectures where applicable. Cloud & Modernisation - Drive migration strategies from on-prem MDM to cloud-native platforms. - Leverage Informatica IDMC capabilities (CDI, CAI, MDM SaaS). - Ensure secure data handling in line with UK GDPR and AA compliance requirements. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement - Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for MDM across the organisation. - Engage with business stakeholders (Customer, Insurance, Roadside Ops) to align data solutions with business needs. - Mentor junior engineers and guide offshore/onshore delivery teams. - Collaborate with enterprise architects, data engineers, and platform teams.
