Position Summary: The Vice President, Enterprise Safety, Quality & Compliance (VP-ESQC) is a senior executive leader responsible for integrated, system-wide oversight of safety, quality, compliance, health information management (HIM), privacy and business continuity functions across WellPower. Reporting directly to the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, this role aligns and manages four key leadership positions to performing infrastructure that supports all clinical and operational departments. The VP-ESQC ensures patient and employee safety, clinical and operational quality, regulatory readiness, organizational resilience, while championing a Just Culture and embedding safety, quality, and compliance into every aspect of care delivery Compensation & Benefits: - $145,995.20 - $190.008 per year - For complete overview of our robust Benefits: https://wellpower.org/workplace-of-choice/ The posted range represents the full hiring range. Job Duties & Functions: - Serve as enterprise executive owner of Safety, Quality, Compliance, HIM/Privacy, and Business Continuity portfolio. - Partner with COO to define and implement safety and quality vision and strategies. - Develop and maintain and multi-year Enterprise Safety, Quality & Compliance Roadmap. - Chair or co-chair enterprise committees and governance groups. - Provide consolidated reporting and recommendations to executive leadership and Board committees. - Oversee Corporate Compliance Program, including annual work plan and risk assessments. - Direct internal audit planning, execution, and corrective actions. - Ensure compliance training meets regulatory and operational needs. - Oversee Enterprise Safety &Business Continuity Program, including OSHA compliance and emergency preparedness. - Guide risk assessments, business impact analyses, and continuity planning. - Maintain partnerships with law enforcement and community safety partners. - Provide leadership for Quality Management System aligned with Quadruple Aim. - Oversee Annual Quality Improvement Plan and clinical standards. - Ensure quality measurement includes clinical outcomes, service indicators, and equity metrics. - Build organizational capacity for process improvement and project management. - Oversee HIM operations and HIPAA compliance, ensuring data integrity and privacy. - Guide privacy investigations and breach mitigation plans. - Integrate safety, quality, and compliance into operational and clinical workflows. - Provide coaching and performance management for direct reports. - Champion Just Culture, equity, and trauma-informed practices across all functions - Other duties as assigned Requirements & Qualifications: Education: - Bachelors degree in Nursing, Behavior Health, Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related field. Master's degree in related field; certification such as CPHQ, CPPS, CPHS, RHIA, CBCP, Lean/Six Sigma preferred. Experience: - Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership in healthcare or behavior health organizations. - Demonstrated experience overseeing at least three (3) of the following enterprise domains: - Safety - Quality Management/Performance Improvement - Compliance/Regulatory Affairs - Health Information Management/Privacy - Business Continuity/Emergency Preparedness - Prior leadership of multi-department or multi-functional teams, including direct supervision of director-level leaders or equivalent. - Proven experience operation at a system of enterprise level (not program-only or unit-only), with responsibility spanning multiple locations, service lines, or operational areas. - Proven track record of implementing system-wide improvements that impact both operations and clinical care. Work Location: This is a hybrid opportunity, the expectation is to come into the Denver area for one week, once per month. Shift/Hours: This is a Monday-Friday opportunity observing standard business hours. Physical Requirements: This position involves sedentary work, requiring extended periods of sitting, computer use, and participation in meetings both in-person and virtual. Occasional physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching is expected, along with occasional lifting of up to 20-30 pounds. The role demands frequent use of phones and standard office equipment. Strong cognitive abilities are essential, including analytical thinking, strategic decision-making, and the capacity to manage complex issues under pressure.
