• Prepare calculations, layouts, and engineering details from contract drawings, specifications, and addendums using in-house and supplemental design tools • Provide technical guidance on complex framing conditions • Deliver designs that meet applicable codes • Evaluate customer-provided information and recommend cost-effective, optimized design solutions • Identify discrepancies and ensure quotes are accurate • Utilize the most up-to-date pricing data • Partner with Builders, Vendors, and internal teams • Provide guidance and training to Builders and Field Sales • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Estimating, and Engineering teams • Perform and/or check complex estimates for accuracy

Job Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred for Sales Engineer II
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required for Sales Engineer III
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering required
  • 4+ years of metal building design experience or related field for Sales Engineer II
  • 10+ years of metal building design experience or related field for Sales Engineer III
  • Advanced knowledge of PEMB systems and design considerations
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and estimators
  • Experience supporting Requests for Building Modifications (RBMs)
