Job Description

Senior Claim Data Analyst

• Lead data strategy initiatives and junior analysts. • Analyze claim data across multiple lines of business to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor claim performance metrics (e.g., loss ratios, severity, frequency, etc.). • Support TPA oversight by providing data-driven evaluations of performance and compliance. • Oversee compliance, financial, and actuarial reporting and ensure alignment with regulatory standards. • Partner with Claims leadership to develop predictive models and benchmarking tools. • Ensure data quality and consistency across internal systems and TPA feeds. • Assist in the development of best practices for data governance and reporting. • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, actionable format. • Drive cross-functional collaboration to enhance claims analytics capabilities. • Collaborate with IT and Data Engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure and reporting capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Risk Management, or a related field, preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance claims analytics or a similar data-focused role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience working with Origami or other claim systems and TPA data feeds preferred.
  • Prior experience with and/or understanding of captive insurance preferred.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in claim handling preferred.

Our client is building the home of the sports card and collecting hobby—a platform where fans can buy, sell, and engage with collecting in real time. The analytics team is growing rapidly and is looking for someone who can transform complex, sometimes messy data into clear, reliable reporting that drives real business decisions. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, takes pride in data accuracy, and enjoys owning dashboards end-to-end. This role requires strong SQL expertise, experience working with BI tools, and a proactive mindset to investigate data deeply and deliver insights stakeholders can trust.
