Job Purpose The Proposal Writer is responsible for creating compelling, persuasive, and high-quality proposals that help secure new business opportunities and support the company’s growth in the software development and IT services domain. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and leadership to craft winning responses to RFx opportunities and ensure consistency, accuracy, and impact in every submission. Job Duties and Responsibilities - Drive Opportunities: Identify and analyze RFx (RFI/RFP/RFQ/RFB) opportunities and collaborate with internal teams to shape effective proposal strategies. - Proposal Development: Write clear, concise, and persuasive proposals tailored to various technical and business audiences. - Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts across sales, technical, UX, product, and delivery teams, as well as internal stakeholders for key inputs and reviews. - Quality Assurance: Ensure all proposals meet company standards for format, accuracy, and presentation while maintaining strict submission deadlines. - Continuous Improvement: Maintain and enhance proposal templates, content libraries, and workflow automation tools for efficiency and consistency. - Sizing & Pricing Support: Assist in effort estimation and pricing for small to medium app development and maintenance projects under the guidance of the Bids Lead. Required Qualifications Education - Bachelor’s degree preferable in Computer Science, Information Technology, English, or a related field. Experience - 6-10 years of experience in proposal writing, preferably in software development or IT services. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English. - Ability to write persuasively and adapt tone/style to suit different audiences. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. - Familiarity with proposal automation tools and formatting best practices. - Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. - Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and leadership levels. Preferred Qualifications - Experience writing proposals for app development and maintenance projects. - Exposure to workflow automation or no-code tools. - Familiarity with RFx processes in Canadian or North American markets. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word or Google Docs formatting. Working Conditions - Work Arrangement: Fully remote, based in India. - Reporting Structure: Reports to the Bids Lead. - Work Hours: Must have a 2–3 hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time (PST) to facilitate collaboration with North American teams and leadership. - Collaboration: Regular interaction with cross-functional teams across Canada and India. Required Experience: 5+ years What you will do: As a Senior Proposal Specialist, you will manage the proposal process from RFP receipt to submission. This includes assessing compliance requirements, identifying risks, scheduling and facilitating meetings, creating templates, identifying boilerplate content, and collecting core qualification materials (e.g., resumes, biographies, project qualifications, references, certifications, company information). You will also be responsible for assigning responsibilities, monitoring working drafts, editing and formatting drafts, and submitting final materials via email, web portal, or hard copy shipment. Role Description ACET is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Proposal Manager to lead enterprise-wide proposal development efforts in support of the CFT IDIQ and other high-value government contracting opportunities. This position is responsible for driving proposal excellence, improving win probability, and establishing scalable, repeatable processes across the full proposal lifecycle. The Proposal Director will operate at both the strategic and execution levels, overseeing proposal operations, managing cross-functional collaboration, and developing a high-performing proposal organization aligned with ACET’s growth objectives.
