Job Description

Sales Director – Upgrades

Switzerland Global Enterprise

• Lead the sales Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) process on all performance/reliability upgrades within the Onshore Wind Segment in North America • Responsible for a sales order plan and managing the budget of in year convertible orders as well as pipeline orders for backlog • Drive optimized sales strategies; lead a team of Upgrades salespersons • Establish internal demand/integrated business plan processes to support inventory planning • Support negotiation of customer bids • Work closely with customers to achieve commercial approvals for various performance/reliability upgrades • Communicate difficult concepts and influence others' opinions on relevant topics • Manage the budget for Revenue, Margin and Backlog Orders within the CM&U segment of Services • Oversee the commercial ITO underwriting procedures for Onshore Wind Services upgrade offerings • Support and oversee project suitability analysis from cross functional groups (App/Req Engineering) • Support the team’s commercial and technical analysis of customer inquiries, RFQs, or tenders to determine proposal requirements • Provide matrix leadership of the commercial and technical teams • Utilize specialized knowledge across product lines, markets, and customer groups

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, environmental, financial or related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the wind energy industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven success delivering performance upgrades to wind energy projects in North America, from Inquiry-to-Order through Order-to-Remittance
  • Strong product and technical knowledge of GEV Onshore Wind’s portfolio of upgrade offerings
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with industry stakeholders
  • Strong team leadership skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong Financial/Commercial acumen, with proficient understanding of pro-forma modeling for both external customers and internal financial reviews
  • Ability to understand technical operational matters and translate them into commercial and financial analyses and decision-making
  • Demonstrated expertise in turbine technical due diligence, performance analysis, and wind farm controls (turbine and farm level technologies)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
