Relationship Manager is the strategic partner to our clients who provide prescriptive solutions which meet business goals of retention, growth, and retirement readiness. The Core Market Relationship Manager is responsible for strengthening Empower's relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators in the corporate market segment. This role specializes in managing relationships with plan sponsors having plan assets between $10 and $35 million. What you will do: - Own the retention and profitability of a book of business; plans will typically fall within the $10 - $35 MM range - Build and grow relationships with key decision makers - Collaborate with the plan sponsor and advisors on plan design, investments, retirement readiness, affiliated product solutions, and new opportunities - Deliver plan level reviews including employee education planning - Problem-solve escalated issues - Partner with local sales team to deepen advisor relationships, develop new business, and grow existing business - Travel expected for local or regional onsite advisor and client meetings - Collaborates internally with other departments and partners to solve issues and provide unique solutions - Works with senior staff when dealing with complex issues, clients, accounts, projects, analyses, or internal relationships What you will bring: - FINRA 6 & 63 registrations required within corporate-established timelines - Life Insurance license required - FINRA fingerprinting required - Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline or equivalent experience - 4+ years financial services or other relevant experience - 2+ years building strategic relationships - Foundational understanding of ERISA concepts in the disciplines of: compliance, plan design, and regulatory requirements - Introspection and focus on personal and professional development - Effective communicator who delivers moderately complex content in a clear and succinct manner - Ability to sort and organize facts, data and other information to define a problem and develop effective solutions for the clients or internal partners - Basic negotiation and time management skills, with manager oversight - May travel 40 to 60 percent of time as needed by territory or book of business - Majority of travel will be personal vehicle with an occasional overnight stay - Normal Office Working Conditions typically from a residential office with access to a working space free from distractions This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications of the job.
