Job Title: Partnerships Editor, Commerce Job Description People Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Commerce Editor to support our Partnerships team. This contract role is part-time from 1pm to 5pm ET, Monday through Friday. The editor will support the commerce team by editing commerce content across People Inc.'s portfolio of brands, like PEOPLE, InStyle, Real Simple, Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine, and more. This editor must have a strong grasp of grammar, AP Style, commerce journalism, and follow each brands’ individual style guides to ensure Partnerships content is editorially sound while meeting the requirements to successfully hit various campaign goals. This role reports into the Editorial Director, Partnerships, and also works with the broader commerce team. This role is a 3 month position with the potential to extend. Expectations are 20 hours per week at a rate within the range of $37 - $40 per hour, based on experience. Editors must be based in the U.S. in EST and be comfortable working remotely or near the People Inc. office in New York City. About The Role - Help assign, edit, and publish new partnerships campaign content - Ensure all content reflects the voice, style, and tone of each brand - Ensure campaigns are pacing according to goals and pivot priorities as needed - Analyze revenue and traffic of partnerships content to make data-driven decisions to hit campaigns more efficiently - Contribute to weekly content calendar planning - Write articles as needed Experience: - 3+ years of related experience as an editor for an online publisher in the commerce space - Strong communication and organizational skills - Comfortability working in a fast-paced organization - Highly adaptable and quick to learn - Knowledge about a wide variety of product categories, including fashion, beauty, home, food, travel, and more - A passion for shopping content - Management experience Part of the Commerce team spirit means embodying these core competencies: - Manage Ambiguity: You can comfortably deal with change and can decide/act without the total picture.
