Human Resources Assistant
Open Management
Role Description Open Management is looking for a Human Resources Assistant (Remote – India) to support our growing team. This role will focus heavily on recruiting onsite team members across our U.S. property portfolio, while also supporting day-to-day HR administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has strong written and verbal English communication skills to effectively support U.S.-based managers and candidates. This position requires someone who is comfortable working with various computer systems, can manage multiple priorities, and takes initiative in a fast-paced, remote environment. What You’ll Do - Recruiting & Talent Acquisition - Post and manage job listings across platforms (e.g., Indeed, Applicant Tracking Systems) for onsite roles such as Community Managers, Assistant Managers, and Maintenance Technicians - Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates - Conduct initial candidate screenings (phone/video) - Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers (scheduling, confirmations, follow-ups) - Maintain accurate candidate records and statuses within the ATS - Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the hiring process - Assist in drafting job descriptions and interview questions - HR Administrative Support - Maintain and update employee records and internal trackers - Assist with onboarding coordination (documentation tracking, communication, system updates) in partnership with third-party providers - Support offboarding processes including documentation and internal updates - Assist with employment verifications and general HR inquiries - Organize and maintain digital HR files with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality - Prepare reports and track HR data (headcount, recruiting metrics, etc.) - General Administrative Duties - Manage HR inboxes and respond to employee and candidate inquiries in a timely and professional manner - Schedule meetings and interviews across multiple time zones - Prepare and format documents, letters, and internal communications - Maintain organized digital filing systems (Google Drive or similar) - Perform data entry, audits, and quality checks to ensure accuracy - Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned Qualifications - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (required) - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively - Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with U.S.-based teams - Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and general technology tools - Previous experience in recruiting, HR, or administrative support preferred - Experience with ATS or HR systems is a plus Compensation Competitive compensation based on experience and location (paid through a third-party provider).
