• Be responsible for managing and optimizing Windows Server environments, ensuring system security, stability, and performance through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and automation • Administering and maintaining Windows Server systems, including patching, updates, upgrades, and performance tuning • Providing after-hours on-call support, responding to and resolving system incidents and alerts promptly and efficiently • Implementing and managing change management processes, ensuring all changes to the infrastructure are properly documented, tested, and executed • Performing security hardening and vulnerability assessments on servers, implementing security best practices, and responding to security incidents • Monitoring system performance, capacity, and availability using various monitoring tools, proactively identifying and resolving issues • Collaborating with other IT teams, including network, database, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and support • Participating in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing, ensuring the ability to recover systems in the event of an outage • Automating system administration tasks using scripting languages like Python, Ansible, PowerShell or even Bash, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort • Creating and maintaining documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides • Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in server administration, security, and operations

• Manage day-to-day finance tasks - from invoicing and payroll to compliance and forecasting • End-to-end management of Xero (10/10 proficiency essential) • Manage accounts payable and receivable • Maintain accurate cash flow forecasting and reconcile against bank statements • Prepare and update Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and variance reports • Create and send invoices, process bills, and manage asset purchases • Work through supplier statements, lodge remittances, and process intercompany loan reconciliations • Follow up on late payments and send monthly client statements • Work closely with the external accountant and business managers • Provide real-time, accurate financial visibility to the business • Track and process timesheets and leave requests • Process payroll in Xero, send payslips, and respond to staff queries • File payroll with the ATO and lodge superannuation, Incolink, and LeavePlus payments • Add new employees and update award rates and site allowances • Complete annual reconciliations for Workcover and SRO

Description We are seeking someone who can maintain and enhance multiple Posit deployments (Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager), ensuring the infrastructure remains functional and available to support critical public health analytics. As a Posit System Administrator on our project, you'll constantly look for ways to make the data science infrastructure better using the latest technology and best implementation strategies. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement of mission-critical systems, working closely with technical, network, platform, functional, and customer support teams as a dedicated Posit specialist.
