Role Description Agile Decision Sciences (ADS,) a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Reference and Research Librarian to support our nationwide contract to provide the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with library and records management services. Work Arrangement: Remote - Deliver in-depth reference and research support services to EPA researchers and staff, including daily provision of virtual reference services and interlibrary loan. - Support the library’s transition to Alma with collection management projects. - Contribute to other library programs and services including research impact, library instruction, marketing and outreach, knowledge management projects, or cataloging. - Participate in the development of innovative library services (research impact analysis, data visualization, systematic reviews, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other potential new areas of service). - Complete reporting duties, departmental statistics, and documentation as required by the contract and library operating procedures. Qualifications - MS in Library Science, Information Science, or related field. - Minimum 3 years of professional experience providing reference and research services in scientific research settings with preference given to government special library experience. - Minimum 3 years of professional experience of demonstrated science, business, legal, or technical subject knowledge (environmental, biomedical, chemical, etc.) and experience with commonly used research tools and databases in those fields (PubMed, Web of Science, D&B Finance Analytics, Westlaw, etc.). - Experience with Alma, EndNote, and other library tools and skills (scholarly publishing, programming, SharePoint management, data visualization, collection management, etc.). - Customer service skills and strong organizational skills with attention to detail as well as the ability to work independently and on teams, communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, prioritize and manage multiple on-going projects, quickly adapt to change, and meet deadlines. - Ability to pass a government background investigation which requires Permanent Residency or US Citizenship. This role is based in Brazil and may work remotely, with alignment to our São Paulo, Brazil office as needed. The Staff Attorney will primarily support US-based contracting and legal workflows and will report to a US-based attorney. This role will primarily focus on contract drafting, review, and negotiation, supporting the legal department across various contracting activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to gain hands-on experience managing contract workflows, working closely with senior attorneys and business stakeholders, and helping with continuous improvement of legal processes. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), consulting (including agreements with healthcare professionals), services and vendor agreements. - Support senior attorneys with contract preparation, negotiation, and execution across multiple business functions. - Manage contract lifecycle processes, including tracking deadlines and maintaining contract databases. - Maintain and update contract templates and playbooks. - Assist with legal projects and process improvement initiatives. The essential requirements of the job include: - Bachelor's degree in Law and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association. - Multiple years of experience in contract law (in-house or law firm). - Fluent in Portuguese and English; proficiency in contract drafting and negotiation. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: - Ability to travel on occasion to visit company sites – 5% It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems. - Background in life sciences, diagnostics, or healthcare.
