This role is based in Brazil and may work remotely, with alignment to our São Paulo, Brazil office as needed. The Staff Attorney will primarily support US-based contracting and legal workflows and will report to a US-based attorney. This role will primarily focus on contract drafting, review, and negotiation, supporting the legal department across various contracting activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to gain hands-on experience managing contract workflows, working closely with senior attorneys and business stakeholders, and helping with continuous improvement of legal processes. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), consulting (including agreements with healthcare professionals), services and vendor agreements. - Support senior attorneys with contract preparation, negotiation, and execution across multiple business functions. - Manage contract lifecycle processes, including tracking deadlines and maintaining contract databases. - Maintain and update contract templates and playbooks. - Assist with legal projects and process improvement initiatives. The essential requirements of the job include: - Bachelor's degree in Law and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association. - Multiple years of experience in contract law (in-house or law firm). - Fluent in Portuguese and English; proficiency in contract drafting and negotiation. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: - Ability to travel on occasion to visit company sites – 5% It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems. - Background in life sciences, diagnostics, or healthcare.
