Web Quality Assurance (Cypress and Shopify) at IncubatorLab | Remote - Worldwide IncubatorLab is looking for a hands-on Web QA / QA Automation Engineer to keep our public websites reliable and assist with Shopify execution Role Objective: As a Web QA / QA Automation Engineer at IncubatorLab.ai, you will ensure our high-traffic public websites remain reliable and functional. This is a practical, execution-focused role—not documentation-heavy—ideal for someone who understands how websites break from a user’s perspective and wants real ownership in a fast-paced environment. What You’ll Do: - Uptime & Functionality: Monitor public websites and proactively validate that all pages and flows are working. - Automated Testing: Write and maintain Cypress smoke tests for critical user flows to ensure stability. - Issue Investigation: Use browser DevTools to investigate broken buttons, pages, or flows and identify root causes. - Shopify Support: Assist with Shopify page updates, including sections, layout changes, and full page builds. - Monitoring Management: Validate monitoring alerts and work to reduce false positives. - Release Validation: Rigorously test changes both before and after they go live. - Agile Communication: Clearly communicate issue impact and resolution status to the team. What we are looking for - Automation Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for web application testing. - Technical Fundamentals: Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Shopify Proficiency: Familiarity with Shopify themes, sections, and basic Liquid. - Debugging Skills: Highly comfortable using browser DevTools to diagnose front-end issues. - English Communication: Ability to explain technical issues clearly and concisely. - Ownership Mindset: You don’t just report bugs; you help drive them to resolution. - Remote Fluency: Comfort working in a fast-paced, "Async-First" environment. Bonus Points (Nice to Have): - Experience with Playwright. - API testing experience using Postman. - Experience with uptime/monitoring tools (e.g., UptimeRobot, Pingdom). WORKING HOURS: REMOTE-FIRST & ASYNCHRONOUS Async-First: We prioritize output over "hours in a seat." EST Overlap: You must be available for a few hours of overlap with US-based EST working hours each day to facilitate team meetings and real-time support.
