How you will impact the organization… We are seeking a technical leader to drive the implementation for our next-generation eCommerce and customer experience platform. This role is pivotal in shifting our engineering strategy from monolithic applications to a flexible, scalable, and distributed web ecosystem. The Senior Engineer will not only contribute to the design of the core foundation that hosts independent applications but also enable the multi-year technical strategy that empowers autonomous product teams to develop, deploy, and manage features independently. What you will bring to the table… - 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on high-scale web applications. - 8+ years design experience with a mastery of Java, Spring Frameworks, SQL, React, MFE, and modern frameworks with deep experience in component design and performance optimization. - Demonstrated success leading cross-functional technical initiatives or platform re-architecture projects. - Proven experience establishing engineering best practices, code quality standards, and technical roadmaps across multiple teams. - Leveraging AI tools like Q, Co-Pilot, Kiro, Claude to accelerate design and development. - Proven track record of reducing technical debt or improving developer velocity through redesign. - Strategic Influence: Ability to support multi-year technical strategy and influence direction across teams without direct authority. - Problem Solving: Proactively identifies systemic risks (e.g., single points of failure) and designs solutions to mitigate them before they impact productivity. - Communication: Expert capability in communicating complex design & architectural topics (whiteboarding systems with drill-down capability) to both engineering teams and executive leadership. - Autonomy: Takes ownership of significant, multi-team projects and drives them to completion with high standards for quality and detail. - Distributed Systems Architecture: Deep understanding of techniques for splitting code across distributed systems, lazy loading, and runtime integration. - Infrastructure & API: Experience designing secure API gateways, handling authentication, and managing complex data flow between client and server. • Lead the research and development of novel algorithms for motion planning in autonomous driving, including but not limited to advanced search-based methods, sophisticated geometry-based methods, and decision making under uncertainty with a strong emphasis on probabilistic approaches. • Architect and integrate complex combinations of motion planning and prediction algorithms, driving their evaluation and refinement for real-world deployment. • Design and build a robust, scalable, and high-performance codebase that facilitates rapid exploration, prototyping, and rigorous evaluation of innovative motion planning approaches and algorithms. • Drive technical collaboration and interface seamlessly with perception and prediction components upstream and trajectory optimization, tracking and control components downstream, ensuring end-to-end system performance. • Leverage your deep software development and research expertise to teach others better software practices and principles, fostering a culture of technical excellence. • Guide and mentor junior team members, cultivating a culture of product-focused engineering, rigorous research, and advanced development.

• Pre-sales discovery: Lead structured sessions with PMOs, IT, security and business owners to map PMLC, governance checkpoints, and the project toolchain (e.g. Microsoft Project, Planner, Jira, Smartsheet, and PPM suites). • Document current state and desired state. • Produce a summary that includes a recommended pilot scope, integration approach, data flows, access and compliance notes, and a risk and effort matrix. • Post-sales operationalization: Build plans covering environments, access, data onboarding, controls, success metrics, and exit criteria. • Work with customer IT to implement, configure and validate connectors and data paths, and create reusable checklists. • Write runbooks for day-to-day operations, incident handling, permissioning, and change management. • Train project managers, PMO analysts, and sponsors with clear materials, recordings, quick references, and office hours. • Track adoption with a lightweight scorecard. • Partner across Coworked: Work directly with the CEO and product to translate customer needs into repeatable capabilities, templates, and integrations. • Capture field feedback that sharpens Harmony’s tone, behaviors, and interaction patterns so every touchpoint feels consistent and human.
