Senior Data Analyst

• Lead oversight of all team data/reporting responsibilities ensuring high quality, efficient and on time delivery. • As senior analyst on the team you will build supportive relationships with other members of the team and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for data/reporting related support requirements. • Work closely with Head of function to design, plan and deliver on our data strategy for data and reporting. • Collaborate regularity with other leads across the wider teams to resolve complex problems, ensure consistency in ways of working and cross team support is standard practice. • Act as a point of reference to others in projects in the design and creation of data queries and, where relevant, support the productionisation of data solutions. • Represent EQ reporting at key meetings with internal and external clients, including participation in design workshops to drive out suitable data related solutions that meet stakeholders’ requirements. • Provide line management support to Head of function in their absence to ensure resource is fully supported and available to meet team demand. • Lead on measuring and data/reporting team demand vs. capacity planning to ensure resourcing is suitable and opportunities to increase support to the business area identified. • Facilitate and contribute to continuous improvement of data related processes and reporting standards within the team of data analysts. • Champion increased levels of automated analysis and reporting, using, developing and/or obtaining the tools and skills required to achieve this. • Escalate any risk/ issues to Head of function in the first instance where identified. • Be a role model within the team, demonstrating appropriate behaviours and supporting others. • Some line management responsibilities may be considered where appropriate in line with team growth.

Job Requirements

  • Extensive experience developing and delivering insightful reporting using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Extensive experience working with complex data and ensuring data quality.
  • An appreciation of how to reuse and adapt existing data sets, calculations and solutions to minimise the time, cost and risk to deliver.
  • Experience solving complex problems.
  • SME Knowledge of different areas across the organisation.
  • Experience building successful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • High levels of organisation and forward planning.
  • Pensions experience.
  • Advanced excel and working toward advanced SQL.
  • Exposure and desire to develop experience with Power BI/ analytic toolkits.
  • Ability to support and manage people/team.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including the ability to engage and drive internal and external stakeholders, and develop and maintain effective working relationships to progress projects.
  • Strong desire to develop.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Serve as a business and financial manager support contractor to DARPA Program Managers, DARPA leadership, and performers. - Prepare program expenditure plans. - Manage and monitor program budget execution. - Prepare DARPA budget execution documentation including Purchase Requests (PRs), Military Inter-Departmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) Justifications, and 7600 Statements of Work (SOW). - Perform analyses of commitments, obligations, and expenditures performance. - Prepare financial information for briefings, presentations, and status reports. - Provide program management support.
