Role Description The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist supports implementation of Amentum field and office EHS program and occupational safety and health regulations in support of operations. - Ensure the Amentum team is engaged in meeting the client's safety requirements. - Ensure communication and implementation of ASC policies across the Amentum team. - Provide liaison support to ensure Amentum reporting and tracking of required EHS data and incident reporting processes. - Partner with ASC EHS leadership to ensure a high level of engagement in implementing a strong safety culture within the Amentum workforce. - Responsible for ensuring all Amentum incidents are reported and investigated per ASC policies and systems. - Conduct facility and site walk downs in partnership with ASC to monitor performance across a broad range of Safety Practices. - Support and provide coaching for safety committee or equivalent teams and may provide safety training as appropriate. - Act as a liaison to the Amentum and subcontractor workforce training and work performance. - Coordinate the implementation of the ASC EHS policies, Safety Management System, and project/location specific Safety Management Plans. - Conduct and report the results of safety observations and audits, evaluate corrective action plans, and analyze EHS data for trends. - Accept assignments within the safety team and perform specific duties as may be required. - Maintain knowledge of applicable rules and regulations including government regulations, standards, and policies. - Prepare and maintain reports and documentation concerning the aspects of the safety program assigned. - Ensure the safety of any subordinates and ensure their compliance with established safety policies, procedures, and practices. - Participate in community programs, such as “house-mouse” (chores), “daisy-picking” (cleaning-up around the station), recycling efforts & safety objectives. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum of five (5) years Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related experience. - Certification on either the OSHA 30-hour Construction or OSHA 30-hour for General Industry is required. - Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate the requirements of the HSE Program. - Detail oriented, self-motivated, and willing to continuously improve site EHS processes. - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access & Power Point. Role Description Responsible for generating enterprise-wide planned and unplanned work orders and related data. - Updates and accurately maintains the Enterprise maintenance software database MAXIMO particularly Assets and Work Order-related applications, i.e., job plans and preventive maintenance, assets, work order accuracy, etc. - Generates and monitors all work orders. - May create/update work-related documentation/SOPs. - Ensures accurate and consistent data is entered within the computerized maintenance management software (MAXIMO). - Creates and updates all preventative maintenance and job plan data. - Preventative Maintenance (PMs) to include Hazardous Equipment, De-Winterizing and Winterizing PMS, as required. - Creates/edits/updates Asset application records. - Supports work order processes and requirements to include configuration change requests (CCR), Permits to Dig/Excavate, Permits for fixed fire systems, and additional projects related to work orders as needed. - Supports emergency work order process as needed. - Train personnel in work order process as needed supplementing IT Training. - Communicate and support personnel regarding maintenance data as needed. - Attend meetings as needed, i.e., Foreman Meetings. - Supports project-related efforts within maintenance-database as assigned. - Keep Work Order Supervisor apprised on maintenance activities. - Handles confidential matters (personnel actions, management reports, etc.) in accordance with management policy. - Interacts with the National Science Foundation, military and other agency officials, both over the telephone and in person, in a professional and tactful manner. - Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace program and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace. - Performs other duties as required. Qualifications - Demonstrated networking capabilities among various communities, e.g. acquisition officials/leads in the Department of Defense and other government agencies for identifying and developing potential business opportunities. - Demonstrated knowledge of associate contractors and the competitive landscape. - Complete understanding of business development that includes contract cost and pricing principles that translates efforts in achievements especially in acquiring new and follow-on business. - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. - Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. - Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. - Ability to integrate regulatory, customer, political and market information into effective business strategies and plans. - Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work effectively with senior managers, employees, and the general public. - Strong leadership skills with an ability to coach, lead, motivate and influence others to support corporate goals and objectives. - Ability to obtain and maintain US passport. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or International Affairs. - Eighteen (18) plus years in business development, program management or strategic planning or Master’s Degree and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience. - Six (6) plus years of experience developing assigned business. - Ten (10) plus years of managerial experience. - Proven record of successfully growing a business with expanded customers and markets domestically and/or internationally. - Experience building and managing customer relationships with assigned customers to seek out and identify new business opportunities. Physical Requirements/Working Environment - Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions. - Must be able to work extended hours, often with short notice, to meet deadlines. Extended hours may include late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays. - Demonstrate ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with attention to detail.
