Title: Full-stack Developer (API Development) Location: MO - Kansas City - 1008 Oak Street time type: Full time job requisition id: R-8471 Hybrid Job Description: Our Enterprise Banking Integration – API Development team within our API Solutions organization provides enterprise service development and Tier 2 support. We work closely with our business partners in developing new APIs, enhancing existing ones, and building enterprise services for our different line of business. As a Full-Stack Developer, you will be part of a team developing and supporting scalable full stack applications. As a senior developer, you will be part of application design and review team tasks and functions. You will also work closely with UMB stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the best solution is implemented. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives as assigned by IT leadership. This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote) at the UMB Technology & Operations Center located in downtown Kansas City, MO. How you will spend your time: - Collaborate with the business and technical teams, develop solutions that fulfill the business requirements incorporating UMB and industry strategies, patterns, standards and technologies, and then review solutions with stakeholders for alignment. - Develop new applications including enhancing existing applications to meet business needs. - Develop and review both front-end and back-end code in C# and Angular JS. - Create and Maintain Technical documents. - Mentor junior IT and Business teams on new technologies and patterns. - Stay current with modern technology, patterns and trends. We are excited to talk if you have: - Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related discipline and at least 5 years of enterprise solutions and API development experience OR equivalent combination of education and work experience. - Strong experience with C# / .NET back-end development, including MVC architecture, REST API development, and Entity Framework. - Experience in the following: - Web development using Angular JS framework - SQL Server - Development or support of applications in AWS</li> - Microservice architecture implementation - Implementation of APIs security patterns using JWT tokens and/or oAuth2. - Exposure to CI/CI pipelines Bonus Points if you have: - Financial services or banking industry experience. Compensation Range: $69,230.00 - $149,000.00 The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors. The Database Engineer / Senior Database Architect will provide senior-level technical expertise to support the design, performance, security, scalability, and sustainment of the GEOMAP data environment. This role serves as a reach-back subject matter expert supporting database architecture, data engineering, data stewardship, troubleshooting, modernization, and integration activities across cloud-hosted mission systems. The Database Engineer will work closely with cloud, DevSecOps, software, testing, and production support teams to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing data services supporting Air Force geospatial capabilities. *This position is contingent based upon contract award.* Responsibilities - Provide senior-level database engineering and architecture support for GEOMAP applications, services, and associated data environments. - Design, review, and optimize database architectures to support performance, scalability, availability, and maintainability in cloud-hosted environments. - Support administration, tuning, troubleshooting, and sustainment of relational and non-relational database platforms. - Analyze complex database performance issues, data integrity concerns, and recurring operational problems and recommend durable corrective actions. - Support database design activities for new features, enhancements, technical refresh efforts, and modernization initiatives. - Collaborate with software engineers, cloud engineers, DevSecOps engineers, testers, and support personnel to ensure effective integration between application and data layers. - Assist with database migration, schema updates, data transformation, backup and recovery planning, and environment synchronization activities. - Support development and refinement of data models, metadata, database standards, and data management best practices. - Contribute to release planning, deployment support, and validation activities for database-related changes across development, test, and production environments. - Review and recommend approaches for database security, access controls, auditing, encryption, vulnerability remediation, and compliance alignment. - Develop and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, data flow descriptions, operating procedures, and database support artifacts. - Provide reach-back support for surge requirements, high-priority investigations, complex database challenges, and technical assessments as directed. - Performs other related duties as assigned.
